Adarsh Anand Shinde (born 7 March 1988) is an Indian playback singer. He records Ambedkarite songs and Marathi language film songs.

Early life

Adarsh Shinde comes from a family of singers. His father, Anand Shinde, and grandfather, Prahlad Shinde, were also singers. [1] [2] Shinde started learning to sing at the age of ten. He had lessons in classical music from Suresh Wadkar.[ citation needed ] The Shinde family is influenced by B. R. Ambedkar and follows Buddhism.

Shinde married Neha Lele on 27 May 2015 in a Buddhist marriage held in Mumbai. [3]

Career

Adarsh Shinde is a notable Ambedkarite singer. He has sung many songs about B. R. Ambedkar and Buddhism. He started his career by singing on an album with his father and uncle Milind Shinde. He appeared on the television reality show "Let It Go!"

In 2014, the Shinde family sang together for the film Priyatma, which was the first such incident of three generations singing together in the Marathi film industry. Bhimraya Majha Bhimraya is the title song of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar series composed by Adarsh Shinde and his brother Utkarsh Shinde, while sung by Adarsh Shinde. [4] [5]

Adarsh Shinde has sung more than 1500 songs in both Marathi and Hindi languages. [6]

Bhim Janmabhoomi is a memorial dedicated to Bhimrao Ambedkar, located at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, India. This was birthplace of Ambedkar, who was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow. where the local government built this grand memorial. This memorial was inaugurated on Ambedkar's 100th birth anniversary – 14 April 1991 by the then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Sunder Lal Patwa. The architecture of the memorial was composed by architect E.D. Nimgade. Later, On 14 April 2008, the 117th birthday of Ambedkar, inaugurated the memorial. Nearly 4.52 acres of land is connected to the memorial.

The Twenty-two vows or twenty-two pledges are the 22 Buddhist vows administered by B. R. Ambedkar, the revivalist of Buddhism in India, to his followers. On converting to Buddhism, Ambedkar made 22 vows, and asked his 400,000 supporters to do the same. After receiving lay ordination, Ambedkar gave dhamma diksha to his followers. This ceremony organised on 14 October 1956 in Nagpur included 22 vows administered to all new converts after Three Jewels and Five Precepts. On 16 October 1956, Ambedkar performed another mass religious conversion ceremony at Chandrapur.

<i>Mooknayak</i> Marathi newspaper

Mooknayak was a Marathi fortnightly-Newspaper founded by B. R. Ambedkar in 1920. The newspaper aimed to reveal the pain and rebellion of society. The first issue of Mooknayak was published on 31 January 1920. This paper was published from Mumbai. An educated youth of Mahar caste named Pandurang Nandram Bhatkar edited this Newspaper. Because Ambedkar was working as a professor in Sydenham College. Therefore, he could not work as an editor openly. So he appointed Gyandev Dhruvanath Gholap as the manager of Mooknayak. Ambedkar himself wrote the foreword in the first issue titled 'Manogat'. He also wrote articles in the next thirteen issues. Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu of Kolhapur had given financial assistance of Rs 2,500 for Mooknayak. Ambedkar published Mooknayak in the Marathi language, Because Marathi language was the common language or folk language of that time and B. R. Ambedkar's area of work was Maharashtra. Also at that time the Dalit people of Maharashtra were not very educated, they could only understand Marathi.
