Aditya Datt is an Indian filmmaker known for directing Bollywood films such as Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Table No.21 . [1] He is the grandson of film lyricist Anand Bakshi.

It narrates the story of Narayan, the strict principal of Gurukul college whose daughter Megha, commits suicide after he opposes her relationship with Raj, a music teacher at the college. The story follows Raj aiding with three Gurukul students and their love interests to rebel against Narayan's intolerance of love.

Saathiya is a 2002 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Mani Ratnam and Yash Chopra under the banners, Yash Raj Films and Madras Talkies. The film stars Rani Mukerji and Vivek Oberoi in leads roles with Shah Rukh Khan and Tabu in cameo appearances. The soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman while the lyrics were written by Gulzar. It is a remake of the Tamil film Alaipayuthey whose climax was inspired by the 1998 film Sliding Doors. The film was a moderate success and was declared a Hit. In addition, the film won 6 Filmfare Awards.
