Adnan Al Rajeev is a Bangladeshi film director known for his work in the Bangladeshi film industry. He gained recognition for his film "Desha: The Leader" which depicted the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangladesh.

Shahid Hasan, known by professionally as Misha Sawdagor, is a Bangladeshi film actor known for playing villains. As of 2020, according to him, he has performed in more than 700 films. He won Bangladesh National Film Awards 3 times for his roles in the films Boss Number One (2011), Olpo Olpo Premer Golpo (2014) and Bir (2020). He first got noticed as a villain in the 1995 film Asha Bhalobasha starring Salman Shah. After Shah's death, he continued playing the villain opposite other actors, but failed to achieve any mainstream success or recognition. From 2006 onwards he started playing the main antagonist in a long string of hit movies starring Shakib Khan in the lead role and mostly Apu Biswas as the lead actress, and established himself as a leading antagonist in the Cinema of Bangladesh.

M B Manik was a Bangladeshi filmmaker. His directorial debut was Durdorsho. He made 36 films, most of his notable films with Shakib Khan including Kothin Prem, Prem Koyedi, Jaan Amar Jaan, Jaan Kurbaan, Ek Takar Denmohor, Jadrel, Bolona Tumi Amar, and Durdorsho Premik.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Enforced disappearances in Bangladesh</span> Human rights abuse

Enforced disappearances in Bangladesh are cases in which the Government of Bangladesh directly or indirectly kidnaps people and holds them incommunicado. According to a Dhaka-based human rights group Odhikar, at least 402 people have become victim of enforced disappearance from 2009 to 2017 under the current Awami League administration. These incidents along with extrajudicial killings in Bangladesh has been criticized by The United Nations and human rights groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International. Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), a special paramilitary unit in Bangladesh, is alleged to be behind most of these disappearances even though RAB claimed these allegations to be false. The current Awami League government denies involvement in these forced disappearances even when victims later surface in custody.

Shakib Khan is a Bangladeshi film actor, producer, occasional singer, film organiser and media personality who works in Bengali films, both in Bangladesh and West Bengal. Khan has prolific career spanning over two decades, during which he has appeared in more than 250 films and described as one of the most successful actors in Bangladesh. Most of his films were commercially and critically successful.

Danny Sidak is a Bangladeshi film actor and director. He played the role of Superman in the Bangladeshi adaptation of the 1978 film of the same name.
