Meril Prothom Alo Awards or Prothom Alo Awards is an annual Bangladeshi awards ceremony honouring cinematic achievements in Bangladeshi Film Industry. The awards are divided into two components, Viewers' Choice and Critics' Choice. The awards were first presented in 1998 and since then the awards are given every year at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).

Ek Cup Cha (Bengali: এক কাপ চা) is a 2014 Bangladeshi romantic film directed by Noyeem Imtiaz Neyamul. It stars Ferdous Ahmed and Moushumi in the central roles, alongside Omar Sani, Rituparna Sengupta, father and daughter duo Alamgir and Akhi Alamgir, and Humayun Faridi. It was Faridi's final film, he died before it was released.

Sabila Nur is a Bangladeshi actress. She got her breakthrough performing as "The Imaginary Girl" in a romantic comedy telefilm Monkey Bizness (2015). She performs in Bengali TV dramas and many TVC.
Azmeri Sultana Bipasha, widely known as Peya Bipasha, is a Bangladeshi actress and beauty pageant titleholder who won Mrs. World Bangladesh 2022. She represented Bangladesh at Mrs. World 2022 and participated in the Lux Channel I Superstar beauty contest in 2012. Bipasha is also known as an actor, appearing in many TV dramas such as Trade Fair, Somoyer Golpo Osomoyer Sopno and Osamapto Vhalobasha.
Mizanur Rahman Aryan is a Bangladeshi television director and scriptwriter who directed the telefilm Boro Chele, which is the most viewed Bangladeshi telefilm in YouTube. He has directed more than 120 Dramas, telefilms and serial since 2012.
Boro Chele is a 2017 Bangladeshi telefilm written and directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan. It features Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Mehazabien Chowdhury in lead roles. The telefilm premiered on Channel 9 on the occasion on Eid al-Adha. It marks as the most viewed Bangladeshi telefilm on YouTube.
Meril-Prothom Alo Award for Best TV Actress is given by Meril-Prothom Alo as part of its annual Meril-Prothom Alo Awards for Bengali television actress.
