Syeda Tuhin Ara Karim (born 1 May 1975), commonly known as Aupee Karim, is a National Film Award-winning Bangladeshi actress, model, architect, and dancer. [2] Besides, she is a faculty member at School of Architecture of American International University-Bangladesh. [3] [4]

Education and career

Karim completed her high school studies from BAF Shaheen College Dhaka. [1] She earned the degree of Bachelor of Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2005. [3] Later, she completed a Master of Architecture from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany. [3]

As of 2020, she is an assistant professor of the School of Architecture at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). [3] [5]

Karim appeared as a judge on the reality television show Lux-Channel i Superstar throughout 2014. [6]

Karim performs Kathak dance. [7]

Personal life

Karim married Dr. Asir Ahmed in 2007. [8] After the divorce, she married Masud Hasan Ujjal, a television producer on 2 September 2011. The second marriage also ended in May 2013. [9] Karim then married film producer and architect Enamul Karim Nirjhar in 2016. [10] Karim has one daughter with Enamul Karim Nirjhar. [11]

The 11th Meril Prothom Alo Awards were distributed among TV and film starts and singers 10 April 2009 to honour and inspire the young talents for playing their role in the fields of music, film-making and TV production. The Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre turned into a union of cultural personalities on that evening as the Prothom Alo and Square Toiletries staged the programme to honour the stars. The nominations for the popular awards were open to public voting.

The 26th National Film Awards, presented by Ministry of Information, Bangladesh to felicitate the best of Bangladeshi Cinema released in the year 2001. Bangladesh National Film Awards is a film award ceremony in Bangladesh established in 1975 by Government of Bangladesh. Every year, a national panel appointed by the government selects the winning entry, and the award ceremony is held in Dhaka. The ceremony took place at Osmany Memorial Hall, Dhaka and awards were distributed by former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. Additionally, Information Minister Tariqul Islam attended the function as the special guest at that evening.

Masud Ali Khan was a Bangladeshi television, film and stage actor. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2023 by the government of Bangladesh.
