The 39th National Film Awards was presented on 4 April 2016 by the Ministry of Information, Bangladesh to felicitate the best of Bangladeshi films released in the calendar year 2014. The awards were given to 29 personnel in 26 categories. [1] [2]

The film was released 2008 and younger director Murad Parvez first time directed the film. Nekabborer Mohaproyan is a 2014 Bangladeshi film directed and produced by Masud Pathik. The screenplay is based on the poetry of Nirmalendu Goon. It earned six Bangladesh National Film Awards including the Best Film. The film received financial aid from the government.
