The International Cinematographers Film Festival "Manaki Brothers" (known short as Manaki Film Festival) is an annual international film festival organized by the Macedonian Film Professionals Association (MFPA). The festival is held in Bitola, the town where most of the activities of the Aromanian brothers Yanaki and Milton Manaki were organized. They were the filmmakers, who in 1905 filmed in Avdela the first motion pictures in the Ottoman Balkans. [1] Each year the festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of Macedonia and the President of North Macedonia. The award of the festival is Camera 300 that given to the year's best motion pictures chosen by the festival's film committee. The Manaki Film Festival has been hosted at the Center of culture, with screenings at the Big Hall, located in the center of Bitola and has been attended by celebrities such as Michael York, Charles Dance, Victoria Abril, Daryl Hannah, Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert, Julliette Binoche, Aleksei Serebryakov, Bruno Ganz, Claudia Cardinale, Fatih Akin. Before 1993 the festival did not have a director, the function was introduced in 1993.

Gordana Jankuloska is the former 10th Interior Minister of the Government of Macedonia. She was a Minister in four cabinets of Nikola Gruevski. During the 2015 Macedonian protests, activists demanded that Gruevski and his cabinet resign. Jankuloska and two others resigned from their positions. She was replaced as the interior minister by Mitko Čavkov. Jankuloska was sentenced to 6 years for “misuse of office” by a first-instance court in 2018, but her sentence was reduced by the higher court. She was sent to jail on 28.9.2020, after the court of appeals sentenced her to 4-years for her involvement in the purchase of a luxury car for about 600 thousand euros.

Ilhan Kyuchyuk is a Bulgarian politician who is currently a Member of the European Parliament. A member of the DPS party, he is also serving as Co-President of the ALDE party. In the European Parliament, Kyuchyuk currently chairs the Legal Affairs Committee. In July 2024, Ilhan Kyuchyuk was elected Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee of the European Parliament.

Lazar "Grk" Lečić was a Yugoslav and later Macedonian professional basketball coach and player. He is considered the founder of Macedonian basketball, who had a huge role in the exit of Macedonian basketball clubs in Europe in the 1970s and 1980s. Lecic was also responsible for founding and organising the youth basketball schools in both North Macedonia and Greece. In his lifelong odyssey he has won many prestigious awards such as "Giant" of the Macedonian Olympic Committee (2002), "Giant" of the Basketball Federation of Macedonia, "11th of October, 13th of November, 8 September, Zlatna Bubamara among many others.

The Kalmak Tatars are one of the three subgroups of Tom group of Siberian Tatars. Their traditional areas of settlement are northeastern parts of Kemerovo Oblast, close to town of Yurga.

Spokoyny is a rural locality in Krasnooktyabrskoye Rural Settlement of Maykopsky District, Russia. The population was 38 as of 2010. There is one street.
