Adolf Kasaija Mwesige (born 4 April 1966) is a Ugandan lawyer and politician who served as Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda from 6 June 2016 to 8 June 2021. [1] He previously served as Minister of Local Government from 18 February 2009 to 6 June 2016. He has also been the elected Member of Parliament for Bunyangabu County, Kabarole District, since 1996. [2] In July 2017, Bunyangabu County was peeled off Kabarole District to form Bunyangabu District. [3]
He attended Nyakasura School in Fort Portal for his A-Level education. Mwesige holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, Uganda's oldest university. He also holds a diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre in Kampala. He holds a diploma in international law from the Public Administration Promotion Center in Berlin, Germany and a diploma in human rights law from the United Nations Center for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland. Mwesige has been enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda since 1994. Between 1992 and 1996, he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a foreign service officer responsible for legal and consular matters. Between 1996 and 2001, he worked as the managing partner at Mwesige, Egunyu & Company Advocates, a Ugandan law firm. [4]
He was first elected to Parliament in 1996, to represent Bunyangabu County in Kabarole District. Before 2009, Mwesige served as Minister for General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister. [2] He was appointed as Minister of Local Government on 18 February 2009. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011, Mwesige retained his local government portfolio. [5] He acted as vice-chair of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum from 2011 until he was moved to the post of Minister of Defense on 6 June 2016, replacing Crispus Kiyonga, who was dropped from the cabinet. [6] He was replaced in this position by Vincent Ssempijja on 8 June 2021. [7] Mwesige is the Clerk to Parliament since his appointment by the President got finalized in August 2021. In this role he replaced Jane Kibirige. [8] [9]

Sam Kahamba Kutesa is a Ugandan politician, businessman and lawyer involved in several corruption cases. By the marriage of his daughter Charlotte Kutesa Muhoozi with Muhoozi he is part of the inner circle of president Museveni. Kutesa was the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda, a position he held from 13 January 2005 and maintained through three cabinet reshuffles until May 2021. He was also the elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Mawogola County in Sembabule District. He was the President of the United Nations General Assembly during its 69th session in 2014–2015.
Kamwenge District is a district in Western Uganda. It is named after its 'chief town', Kamwenge, where the district headquarters are located. Peter Aimat Lokeris is a Ugandan politician and accountant. He is the current Minister of State for Minerals in the Cabinet of Uganda. He was appointed to this position on 16 February 2009. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011, and that of 1 March 2015, Peter Lokeris retained his cabinet post. He is also the elected Member of Parliament representing Chekwii County in Nakapiripirit District. He has continuously represented that constituency since 1996.
MusumbaIsaac Isanga is a Ugandan lawyer and politician. He served as the State Minister for Regional Foreign Affairs, from June 2006 until May 2011. In the cabinet reshuffle on 27 May 2011, he was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Asuman Kiyingi. He also served as the elected Member of Parliament (MP), representing "Buzaaya County", Kamuli District, from 1996 until 2011. During the 2011 national elections, he lost to Muzaale Martin Kisule Mugabi, during the National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries. In 2016, he bounced back into the 10th parliament, representing Buzaaya County, in Kamuli District, on the NRM ticket. In the 2021 elections, he lost in the NRM primaries to Martin Muzaale and decided to contest as an Independent candidate and further lost to the NRM’s flag bearer, Muzaale Martin Kisule Mugabi
Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, commonly known as Jessica Alupo, is a Ugandan politician who is the ninth and current vice president of Uganda since 2021. She is also an educator, and former military officer. She previously served in the cabinet of Uganda as minister of education between 2011 and 2016. She is also an elected member of parliament as Katakwi District's women's representative.
Christopher Kibanzanga is a Ugandan politician. He is the State Minister for Agriculture in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016, replacing Vincent Ssempijja, who became Cabinet Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries. As of 2017, Kibanzanga is the serving Member of Parliament representing Bughendera County in Bundibugyo District.
Wilson Muruli Mukasa is a Ugandan politician. He has been Cabinet Minister of Public Service in the Ugandan Cabinet since 6 June 2016. He has previously served as Cabinet Minister of Gender and Social Issues from 1 March 2015, until 6 June 2016. Previously he served as Minister of Security from 27 May 2011 until 1 March 2015. Muruli Mukasa also serves as the Member of Parliament for Budyebo County in Nakasongola District.
Irene Nafuna Muloni is a Ugandan electrical engineer, businesswoman and politician and also a Senior Presidential Advisor to Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. She was previously Cabinet Minister for Energy and Minerals in the Ugandan Cabinet until December 2019, serving from 27 May 2011. She retained her position in the new cabinet after the 2016 national elections. She served as the elected Member of Parliament for Bulambuli District Women's Representative, from 2011 until 2016 when she lost her seat to Independent candidate; Sarah Wekomba. She again regained her seat after the 2021 general elections.
Sam Mangusho Cheptoris is a Ugandan politician. He is the Cabinet Minister of Water and Environment in the Cabinet of Uganda. He was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. In 2021 he was elected as member of parliament for Kapchorwa Municipality.
Joy Kabatsi, also Joy Kabatsi Kafura, is a Ugandan lawyer, farmer and politician. As of January 2020, she was the State Minister of Transport in the Cabinet of Uganda, effective December 2019. She belongs to National Resistance Movement political party.
Peace Regis Mutuuzo is a Ugandan politician who serves as the Women representative for Bunyangabu District. She is the Minister of State for Gender and Culture in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. In 2021, she was re elected into the eleventh Uganda Parliament.

It is responsible for the "creation, supervision and guidance of sustainable, efficient and effective service delivery in the decentralized system of governance. Robinah Nabbanja is a Ugandan educator and politician who serves as the Prime Minister of Uganda, having been nominated to the office on 8 June 2021. She was formally confirmed by the Parliament on 21 June 2021. She replaced Ruhakana Rugunda, who was named to the post of Envoy For Special Duties In The Office Of The President of Uganda. She is the first female prime minister of Uganda.

Denis Hamson Obua, is a Ugandan politician, who serves as the Government Chief Whip in the Parliament of Uganda, a position he was appointed to on 21st July 2022. The office was officially handed over to him on 16th August 2022. He previously served as Minister of State for Sports, in the Cabinet of Uganda, effective 14 December 2019. He also concurrently serves as the incumbent Member of Parliament representing Ajuri County, Alebtong District in the 11th Parliament, a seat he also held in the 10th Parliament.
