The World Curling Federation (WCF) is the world governing body for curling accreditation, with offices in Perth, Scotland. It was formed out of the International Curling Federation (ICF), when the push for Olympic Winter Sport status was made. The name was changed in 1990.
Hugh Ronald Alexander Millikin is an Australian curler originally from Ottawa, Ontario.
Johan Niklas Edin is a Swedish curler. He currently resides in Karlstad, which has been his curling home base since 2008. He is a five-time World champion and, thus, the first and only skip in history to skip teams to five World Men's Curling Championship medals. He has curled solely in the role of skip since 2008 and, thus, all of the international medals he has won in that role since then have earned him more of these medals than any other skip in history. He is also a seven-time European Curling Champion, additionally winning two silver medals in those championships. He has won two Olympic medals, winning a silver medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics and the bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Taking into account his combined junior and senior career, he has also won the most medals in international competitions of all curlers as recognized by the World Curling Federation. He has also made the playoffs in thirty-six Grand Slam of Curling events and skipped his team to become the first non-Canadian men's team to win any Slam, as well as the first such team to win more than one Slam, as well as the Pinty's Cup. With the same lineup in 2021, Edin and his teammates also became the first men's curling team ever to win three straight World Curling Championships. Edin has played exclusively in the position of skip since 2007. The team bearing his name has been ranked on the World Curling Tour as high as No. 1, including for most of the 2017–18 season. As of the end of the 2020-21 Curling Season, Team Edin is ranked among the Top 10 teams in the world.
Lisa Peters is a Welsh curler who represented Wales in the 2008, 2009 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships, the 2009 European Curling Championships, and the 2010 European Curling Championships. She is one of Wales's two representatives to the World Curling Federation. She was born in Wrexham in north Wales.
Oskar Ingemar Eriksson is a Swedish curler from Karlstad. He currently plays third for the Niklas Edin rink. He is a five-time World Men's Curling Champion, seven-time European Men's Curling Champion, and the first curler in history to win three gold medals in major international curling championships in a single calendar year – the World Men's Curling Championship, the European Curling Championship, and the World Mixed Doubles Championship. Having also won two World Mixed Doubles Championship medals, he is the first and the only curler to have six World Curling Championship gold medals in the senior men's division and, as of the end of the 2020-21 curling season, has won eleven World Curling Championship medals in that division. He also holds the record for most gold medals in international competitions as recognized by the World Curling Federation. He is the only member of Team Sweden to have competed in all of the World Men's Curling Championships from 2011 to 2021. He won medals in all but one of these championships, as well as playing in multiple positions – as skip, third, second, and as an alternate. He also has reached twenty-seven playoffs at Grand Slam of Curling events, including winning three Grand Slam tournaments and the Pinty's Cup as part of Team Niklas Edin, the first non-Canadian men's team to do so. In 2021, Eriksson and his teammates also became the first men's team in history to win three consecutive World Men's Curling Championships, with Eriksson and Niklas Edin the first two curlers in history to have five gold World Men's Curling Championship medals.
Sven Michel is a Swiss curler from Matten. He won a gold medal for Switzerland at the 2013 European Curling Championships and skipped Switzerland at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Curling is a minor sport in Turkey. It is governed by the Turkish Ice Skating Federation and has been a member of the World Curling Federation since 2009. The country has one dedicated curling venue, the Milli Piyango Curling Arena in Erzurum. Turkey is ranked 39th in the world in men's curling and 31st in women's.
Aku Kauste is a Finnish curler from Helsinki. He is currently the skip for the national team of Finland. Kauste is one of the most successful curling players in Finland, with over 20 medals in the Finnish Curling Championships.
Kristian Lindström is a Swedish curler and coach, originally from Uppsala.
Warren R. Hansen is a Canadian retired curler. He played as third on the Hec Gervais rink that won the 1974 Brier. Hansen served as director of event operations for Curling Canada, but retired in June 2015. He currently is operating a podcast called Inside Curling with Kevin Martin and is part of the organizing committee, in Las Vegas, that are hosting the 2022 World Men's Curling Championship and previously worked for the United States Curling Association as a Business Development Consultant. Hansen worked for Curling Canada 1974 - 2015. His involvement with the organization has been instrumental in moving major events into hockey arenas, introducing the page playoff system, reducing the amount of sheets in events to four, implementing player dress codes, bringing in officiating of major events and the creation of the Continental Cup of Curling and Canada Cup of Curling. In addition Hansen played a key role, along with Calgary's Ray Kingsmith in establishing curling as a demonstration sport at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. In 2002 he developed the game of Mixed Doubles as part of the newly created Continental Cup. In June 2015 it was announced that Mixed Doubles will be a full medal sport at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Hansen is a member of the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame as a team member of the Edmonton Huskies and also as a Curling Builder. He is a member of the City of Edmonton Sports Hall of Fame as a team member of the Huskies and a Curler/Builder in the Canadian Curing Hall of Fame and a Builder in the World Curing Hall of Fame.
Rasmus Bele Åke Wranå is a Swedish curler from Karlstad. He currently plays second for the Swedish national team, skipped by Niklas Edin. With his teammates Edin, Oskar Eriksson, and Christoffer Sundgren, Wranå became part of the first and only team in history to win three consecutive gold medals at the World Men's Curling Championship. In 2017, Wranå and these same teammates also became the first non-Canadian men's curling team to win three Grand Slam tournaments and the Pinty's Cup, with Wranå reaching 18 Grand Slam playoffs overall during his time with Team Edin. Along with Anders Kraupp, he is one of only two male curlers in Sweden to have won all three Swedish national championships in which he was eligible to compete in the senior division – men's team curling, mixed curling, and mixed doubles.
