The Nepali Congress is the oldest democratic socialist political party in Nepal and the largest party in the country. The party has 870,106 members as of the party's 14th general convention in December 2021 making them the largest party by membership in Nepal. Currently the party has started online membership since the emergence of youth leaders in vital post to bring youths into the party.
The Tamang, are a Tibeto-Burman ethnic group of Nepal, Southern Bhutan and North India. In Nepal, Tamang people constituted 5.6% of the Nepalese population at over 1.3 million in 2001, increasing to 1,539,830 as of the 2011 census. The Tamang people are concentrated in the central hilly region and himalayan region of Nepal. Indian Tamangs are found in significant numbers in the state of Sikkim and the districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong in West Bengal state. Bhutanese Tamangs are native to various districts in the southern foothills of the Kingdom of Bhutan. Such districts include the Tsirang District, the Dagana District, the Samtse District, the Chukha District, the Sarpang District and the Samdrup Jongkhar District. Tamang language is the fifth most-spoken language in Nepal. Tamang people have followed Buddhism for thousands of years.

Regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of Nepali cinema, he is known for his romantic and masala films that deal with social issues of Nepali society and portrayal of deep human emotions. He has directed some iconic Nepali films like Kusume Rumal (1985), Lahure (1989), Deuta (1991), Chino, (1991) Dakshina (1994), Balidaan (1997) and Darpan Chaya (2001). The Majority of his films in the 1990s were blockbusters and Kusume Rumal and Darpan Chaya went on to become the highest grossing Nepalese films of all time.
Bijay Kumar Gachhadar is a Nepalese politician and leader of the Nepali Congress. He has served five terms as deputy prime minister of Nepal under the government of Madhav Kumar Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai, KP Sharma Oli, Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Sher Bahadur Deuba. He was the second vice-president of Nepali Congress.
