Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) was the official name used by the U.S. government for the Global War on Terrorism. On October 7, 2001, in response to the September 11 attacks, President George W. Bush announced that airstrikes targeting Al Qaeda and the Taliban had begun in Afghanistan. Operation Enduring Freedom primarily refers to the War in Afghanistan, but it is also affiliated with counterterrorism operations in other countries, such as OEF-Philippines and OEF-Trans Sahara.

The Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial is a memorial in Irvine, California, to American troops who lost their lives in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The names on the memorial come from US DoD casualty records for Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn. Located at Northwood Community Park, on the corner of Yale and Bryan in Northwood, Irvine, California, it is the only known memorial in the United States dedicated to listing by name all American service men and women killed in the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Local community members assembled annually from 2003 through 2010 to erect a temporary memorial in the park, hold public ceremonies on Memorial Day, July 5, September 11, Veterans Day and conduct nightly candlelight vigils throughout each June and early July. A permanent memorial was built as a joint community and city project in the same location as the temporary memorial as part of the 14-acre (57,000 m2) community park. It was dedicated in a ceremony on November 14, 2010.

The War Dog Memorial was dedicated to the thousands of War Dogs that served during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The memorial also recognizes the service that War Dogs give to the United States of America on countless missions around the world for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Marines. The Memorial was dedicated September 16, 2006. Joseph Pavone, of Bristol Township, Pennsylvania, created the sculpture. The Memorial is located in front of the Bristol Township Municipal Building located at 2501 Bath Road, Bristol, PA, 19007.

Martin Kukučín is a sculpture of the Slovak writer of the same name by Ivan Meštrović. Copies exist in Bratislava, Slovakia and on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis, Oregon, in the United States. The statue depicts Kukučín seated with his legs crossed, wearing a suit and boots. He holds an open book in his hands, on his lap.
The Iraq and Afghanistan Memorial in London commemorates British citizens, including both military personnel and civilians, who participated in the Gulf War, the Afghanistan War and the Iraq War. In these three conflicts, which took place between 1990 and 2015, 682 British soldiers lost their lives. A work by the sculptor Paul Day, the memorial is situated in Victoria Embankment Gardens, between the River Thames and the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence, in the vicinity of monuments commemorating the Second World War and the Korean War.

The World War I Memorial, also known as the Veterans Memorial, is a relief sculpture and war memorial by artist Frederic Littman and architect Pietro Belluschi, installed of the exterior of Salem, Oregon's Marion County Courthouse, in the United States. The marble sculpture was dedicated in 1954 and depicts a grieving woman kneeling and holding a wreath. Viesko & Post served as the contractor of the project. The sculpture was deemed "well maintained" during the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in July 1993.
The Broken Wall Memorial is an outdoor memorial installed on the University of Portland campus in Portland, Oregon, United States. It started with the Praying Hands Memorial, dedicated in 1948, and was expanded and rededicated in its current form on Veterans Day in 1990. The memorial commemorates World War I, Korean War, Vietnam War and Gulf War service members associated with the university, and features inscriptions of select names. Vigils are held at the site each Veterans Day.
