2014 Asian Games 17th edition of the Asian Games

The 2014 Asian Games, officially known as the 17th Asian Games, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event held in Incheon, South Korea. This was the third time South Korea hosted the Asian Games since 2002. Previously, it hosted the 1986 edition of the Games and the 2002 Asian Games.

South Korea national cricket team

The South Korea national cricket team is the team that represents the Republic of Korea in international cricket. It is governed by the Korea Cricket Association, which became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001 and an associate member in June 2017. Their first international appearance to date was in the ICC East Asia/Pacific 8s tournament in Perth in 2002, where they came fourth in a tournament that also involved Japan, Indonesia and an Australian Aborigines team. They also competed in 2011 east Asia Pacific tournament.

Athletics was contested at the 1951 Asian Games in National Stadium, New Delhi, India from 8 March to 11 March.

Pakistan national rugby union team

The Pakistan national rugby union team represents Pakistan in international rugby union. Pakistan is a member of the International Rugby Board (IRB), and have yet to play in a Rugby World Cup tournament. As of 2021, they will play in Division II of the Asian championships, having been promoted from Division III in 2019.

2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games

The 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which is also counted as the 4th Asian Indoor Games and designated as AIGs 4, was held in Incheon, South Korea, from 29 June to 6 July 2013, despite the ongoing 2013 Korean crisis. It was initially slated for Doha, Qatar, after the country cancelled the last edition of Asian Indoor Games in 2011. However, Incheon was chosen as a replacement instead by the OCA. This event also acted as a test event and a prelude to the 2014 Asian Games.

The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, also known as AIMAG, is a pancontinental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia, after the merger of the Asian Indoor Games and the Asian Martial Arts Games. The Games are organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The Games are described as the second largest Asian multi-sport event after the Asian Games.

The Afghanistan National Olympic Committee, established in 1935 and recognised by the International Olympic Committee in 1936, is the National Olympic Committee for Afghanistan.

Cricket was one of the 36 sports at 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea from 20 September to 3 October 2014. Both Men's and Women's tournaments were held in the event. Top Asian associate members and full members took part at the 2014 Asian Games. The matches were played under Twenty20 format.

A total of 47 events were contested, 24 by men and 23 by women - matching the Olympic athletics programme. The 42 track and field events on the programme were hosted at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, while the road competitions took place around the city's marathon and racewalking course.

Weightlifting at the 2014 Asian Games was held in Incheon, South Korea from September 20 to 26, 2014. There were seven weight categories for the women and eight for the men. All competition took place at the Moonlight Festival Garden Weightlifting Venue.

Taekwondo at the 2014 Asian Games was held in Incheon, South Korea from September 30 to 3 October 2014. Men's and women's competitions had eight weight categories for each gender. All competition took place at the Ganghwa Dolmens Gymnasium. Each country was limited to having 6 men and 6 women.
