Afif Chelbi is a Tunisian politician. He was the Minister of Industry and Technology [1] between 2004 and 2011.

Biography

Afif Chelbi was born on March 14, 1953, in Tunis. [2] He graduated from the École centrale Paris in 1978. [2] He worked for the Tunisian Ministry of Economy and for Tunisian Qatari Bank. [2]

Since 2001, he has been the CEO of the International Maghreb Merchant Bank. [2] In 2004, he was appointed as Minister of Industry, Energy and SMEs. [2]

Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, commonly known as Ben Ali or Ezzine, was a Tunisian politician who was the second President of Tunisia from 1987 until his fall in 2011 after the revolution of Tunisia. Ben Ali was appointed Prime Minister in October 1987. He assumed the Presidency on 7 November 1987 in a bloodless coup d'état that ousted President Habib Bourguiba by declaring him incompetent. Ben Ali was subsequently reelected with enormous majorities, each time exceeding 90% of the vote; his final re-election coming on 25 October 2009. Ben Ali was the penultimate surviving leader deposed in the Arab Spring who was survived by Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, the latter dying in February 2020.

The People's Justice Party is a reformist political party in Malaysia, formed in 2003 by a merger of the National Justice Party and the older Malaysian People's Party. The party was led by Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and increased its parliamentary representation from one seat to 31 seats in the 2008 general election, until the five-year political ban imposed on former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was lifted on 14 April 2008. President of Tunisia

The president of Tunisia, formally known as the president of the Republic of Tunisia, is the head of state of Tunisia. Tunisia is a semi-presidential republic, whereby the president is the head of state and the prime minister is head of government. Under Article 77 of the Constitution of Tunisia, the president is also the commander-in-chief of the Tunisian Armed Forces. The current president is Kais Saied who held this position since 23 October 2019 following the death of Beji Caid Essebsi on 25 July 2019.

Rachid Sfar, the former Prime Minister of Tunisian President Habib Bourguiba, was born on September 11, 1933 in Mahdia, the ancient Fatimite capital of Tunisia. He is the son of the Destourian leader Tahar Sfar, an associate of Bourguiba and co-founder of the Neo-Destourian Tunisian Nationalist Party in 1934. Sfar's ancestors were among the first people of Turkish origin to arrive in Tunisia during the Ottoman rule, they had arrived from Anatolia and Macedonia.

Tunisian Revolution Intensive campaign of mostly non violent protest in Tunisia

The Tunisian Revolution, also called the Jasmine Revolution, was an intensive 28-day campaign of civil resistance. It included a series of street demonstrations which took place in Tunisia, and led to the ousting of longtime president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in January 2011. It eventually led to a thorough democratisation of the country and to free and democratic elections.

Mr. Ourak began his professional career in December 1981 to the National Housing Savings, before being appointed director general of Finance Ministry of Planning and Finance. He then served as Director General of the Tunisian Solidarity Bank (BTS) and Director General of Customs, a position he held until his new appointment. Mr. Slimane is Ourak Officer of the Order of the Republic (2006) and Officer of the Order of 7 November (2007). He was also decorated with the Medal of Labour (2003). Mr. Ourak is married with three children.

Abderrahim Zouari is a Tunisian politician. He was the Minister of Transport from 2004 to 2011 under President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. He was the candidate for the Destourian Movement in the 2014 presidential election. In January 2019, Zouari formed a party named Tahya Tounes.

Habib Essid is a Tunisian politician who was Head of Government of Tunisia from 6 February 2015 to 27 August 2016. He was the first Head of Government to be appointed following the adoption of the new constitution and thus considered to be the first Head of Government of the Second Tunisian Republic.
