Aftab Sultan (born 1954) in Arain Family is the former chairman of Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau. He succeeded retired NAB chairman Javed Iqbal on 21 July 2022. [1] [2] [3]
Born in 1954,Sultan is a law graduate from Punjab University Law College and has a postgraduate and master's degree from the University of Cambridge and the University of Edinburgh respectively. [4] He joined the Police Service of Pakistan as Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1977 and was promoted to the office of Superintendent of Police in 1983. Also served as Inspector General of Police of Punjab Police Pakistan from April 2013 to May 2013. [5]
In 2010,during his tenure at the Intelligence Bureau (IB),he spearheaded a 5,000-page-long report on a case involving a multi-billion rupee Bank of Punjab loan scam. [4] [6] [7] He became Director-General of the IB in June 2013 and served until April 2018. [4] [8] [9]
The Intelligence Bureau is a civilian intelligence agency in Pakistan. Established in 1947,the IB is Pakistan's oldest intelligence agency. DG IB is a 4 star equivalent rank of the BPS apex scale in Pakistan. Appointments and supervision of its operations are authorized by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Sikandar Sultan Raja is a retired Pakistani civil servant who serves as the Chief Election Commissioner in office since January 2020. He belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service and is batchmates with Rizwan Ahmed,Hussain Asghar,Fawad Hasan Fawad and Jawad Rafique Malik.
On 22 July 2018,3 days before general elections,a suicide bomber blew himself near the vehicle of former KPK provincial minister of Agriculture Ikramullah Khan Gandapur in Kulachi,Dera Ismail Khan District,Pakistan. The prime target of attack,Gandapur was brought to Dera Ismail Khan in critical condition where he succumbed to his wounds. Apart from Gandapur,his driver and one of his guards was also killed and three more people were injured. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the assault describing Gandapur's killing of their colleague militants as the motive. The attack was widely condemned across Pakistan.
Hussain Asghar is a retired Pakistani police officer who serves as Deputy Chairman National Accountability Bureau,appointed and took charge in April 2019. Asghar is member of the 15th CTP and is batchmates with Sikandar Sultan Raja,Rizwan Ahmed,Allah Dino Khawaja and Jawad Rafique Malik and retired from active police service in BPS-22 grade. Asghar has previously served as Inspector General of Police in the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan and as Director Federal Investigation Agency.
