Agnee is an Indian rock band based in Pune, India. The band's debut album "Agnee" was released on 15 May 2007. Since then, they have released several singles and used an Internet-based free distribution model.[ citation needed ] The band continues to use their 'Create with Agnee' venture in collaboration with Radio Mirchi. History

Agnee was formed in 2007 by former Agni guitarist Kaustubh Dhavale (Koco) and banking executive turned musician Kannan Mohan [2] and Kaustubh Dhavale(better known by his stage name Koco [3] ). [4] The band was soon signed by Sony BMG. [5] Agnee is one of the very few Indian rock bands to have signed a major label record deal. [6] [7] In 2012, the band composed the music for the Indian release of Marvel’s superhero film, The Avengers (2012) . [8]

Music

They have collaborated with the bass player Etienne Mbappe (from Cameroon) to work on a Punjabi song together. [9]

<i>Dev.D</i> 2009 film by Anurag Kashyap

Dev.D is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language romantic black comedy film released on 6 February 2009. Written and directed by Anurag Kashyap, it is a modern-day take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's classic Bengali novel Devdas, previously adapted for the screen by P.C. Barua and Bimal Roy and more recently by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Dev.D received positive critical reviews. The film is set in contemporary Punjab and Delhi, where familial ties are negotiated by the traditional system and marriages are a game of power and a matter of honour.

The Avengers (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the film score for the Marvel Studios film The Avengers composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri. It was released by Hollywood Records on May 1, 2012. A separate soundtrack and concept album, titled Avengers Assemble (Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture), by various artists was also released on the same date.

Agnee is the eponymous debut album by Pune-based fusion rock band Agnee. The album was released on April 27, 2007. It has two tracks 'Sadho Re' & 'Kabira' featuring the poems of Saint Kabir Das. 'The MTV Roadies Theme' track features the show host Raghu Ram.
