Ahmed Ali was a former Pakistani footballer who played in the 1960s. He also represented the Pakistan national football team at the 1965 RCD Cup.

Club career

Ahmed played for various clubs in his playing days, notably for KMC in the 1960s. He also represented the Quetta Divisional football team.[ citation needed ]

In 1967, Ahmed scored against Pakistan in an unofficial match held at the KMC Stadium in Karachi. [1]

International career

In 1965, Ahmed was selected to play for Pakistan at the 1965 RCD Cup. [2] Making his debut against Turkey in a 1–3 loss. [3] [4] The same year, he toured Ceylon with the national team, and scored in their final match against a Colombo XI. [5] Ahmed was also selected in 1967. [6]

Managerial career

In 1977, Hazara Club Quetta appointed former captain and international player Ahmed Ali as head coach, a position he held until 2003. Under his leadership, approximately 30 players from Hazara attained international status. Ali is regarded as one of the most successful coaches in the club's history, having guided the team to around 17 invitational, regional, and domestic titles between 1977 and 2003.
