Ahmed Fouad Aly (born 30 June 1961) is an Egyptian weightlifter. He competed in the men's middleweight event at the 1984 Summer Olympics. [1]

The nation returned to the Summer Games after participating in the African boycott of the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal and the American-led boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. However, Egypt did not participate in the Soviet-led boycott. 114 competitors, 108 men and 6 women, took part in 74 events in 15 sports.

Among other achievements, Mostafa Mansour was the nation's first competitor in sprint canoeing while fencer Shaimaa El-Gammal became the first Egyptian female to appear in four editions of the Olympics.
