Ahmed Iqbal Haider is a Bangladeshi theatre director. As of 2012, he directed a total 56 plays . [1] He serves as the Artistic Director of Theatre Institute Chittagong (TIC). In 2021, he was awarded Ekushey Padak from the Government of Bangladesh for his contribution to drama. [2]

Career

Haider debuted in theatre in 1975. [3] He is the team leader of Tirjak Natyadal, a theatre troupe based in Chittagong, Bangladesh. [1]

Haider is the organising secretary of International Theater Institute Bangladesh Chapter and participated as a Bangladeshi representative in 31st, 32nd and 33rd ITI World Congress. [1]

Jamaluddin Hossain is a Bangladeshi actor, director and theater activist. He was awarded the Ekushey Padak by the Government of Bangladesh in 2013.

Md. Khurshid Alam is a Bangladeshi playback singer. His notable songs include Chumki Choleche Eka Pothe, Bondi Pakhir Moto, Maa Go Maa, Miss Lanka, Ajke Na Hoi Bhalobasho, Dheere Dheere Chol Ghora, Chupi Chupi Bolo Keu Jeney Jabe and Jodi Bou Shajo Go. His career has spanned more than four decades, in which he sang over 300 songs. He was conferred the Ekushey Padak from the Government of Bangladesh in 2018 and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Channel i Music Awards (2017) for his contribution to Bangladeshi film music. He also received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Gaan e Gaan e Gunijon Shongbordhona, by Citibank NA in 2019.

Indra Mohan Rajbongshi was a Bangladeshi folk singer. He was the recipient of 2018 Ekushey Padak by the Government of Bangladesh.

Sheikh Faisal Abdur Rouf Mohammad Ziauddin Haider was a Bangladeshi writer, poet, playwright, translator and professor. He was the founder president of Nagorik Natya Sampradaya and founder of the Bangladesh Institute of Theater Arts. He wrote 7 poems, 4 plays and translated several plays. He was awarded Ekushey Padak by the Government of Bangladesh in 2001 and Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1977.

Ashraf Siddiqui was a Bangladeshi poet, researcher, folklorist, and essayist. He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1964 and Ekushey Padak in 1988 by the Government of Bangladesh.

MA Malek is a Bangladeshi journalist who is currently the editor of the first daily Azadi of independent Bangladesh. The Government of Bangladesh awarded him the Ekushey Padak in Journalism in 2022 for his significant contribution in journalism.
