Aiir is a technology company headquartered in New York City, that provides online services and products to broadcast radio stations.
Founded in the United Kingdom, Aiir offers services for radio stations worldwide including website content management and hosting, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and studio interaction tools. Companies using their platform include Celador, Wireless Group [1] Bauer Radio, [2] Lincs FM Group, [3] Jazz FM,[ citation needed ] and Quidem.
The company was founded in 2003 by Ricki Lee and Gav Richards, both former radio professionals. [4]
In 2009, Aiir became the provider of digital content distribution for Independent Radio News to UK radio stations. During 2010 and early 2011 the company contributed to the launch of the UK Radioplayer and developed a radio station player console for Juice 107.2 in Brighton. In 2013, Aiir produced the third iteration of the Radioplayer product, which is now used internationally. [5]

In November 2022, Aiir and PlayoutONE announced they were merging to form Aiir Group Inc. This merger brought together Aiir’s web services and content tools for radio stations with PlayoutONE’s Broadcast automation software, creating a single company that offers a full range of solutions for radio broadcasters. Both companies said their products did not overlap and were a good fit, so the merger aimed to expand their combined services and provide a more complete digital and automation platform for radio stations. In June 2024, Aiir bought Radio News AI, a company that develops artificial intelligence to create radio news. This acquisition was meant to expand Aiir’s services by adding automated content creation. [17]
Later in 2024, Aiir renamed Radio News AI to Audio.co. Audio.co offers AI-generated commercials and news bulletins through subscription plans. In July 2025, Aiir added new AI tools on Audio.co that help radio stations create ad content, with subscriptions starting at $19 per month. [18] [19]
