Ainsley Cameron Seiger (born September 4, 1998) is an American actress who currently appears as a series regular on Law & Order: Organized Crime as Jet Slootmaekers. [1] [2]

Early life

Seiger is from Cary, North Carolina. [2] [3] Seiger's mother is an opera singer and voice coach, and her father is a jeweler and goldsmith. [2]

Seiger attended Apex High School. [4] While there, she played Wednesday in the school's production of The Addams Family, Cosette in Les Misérables, and Nikki in Curtains the Musical. [4] In July 2016, she was selected as a Triangle Rising Stars by the Durham Performing Arts Center. [4] In addition to being a qualifying event for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, winners of the Triangle Rising Stars received a $1,000 scholarship and spent a week in New York City performing at Minskoff Theatre, working with Broadway professionals, and representing the Triangle at the Jimmy Awards. Seiger then attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, graduating in 2020. [3] [6] [2]

Career

On stage

While still in college, Seiger played Wendla in a production of Spring Awakening. [7] [8]

In 2018, Seiger performed in Virginia Theater Festival productions of A Chorus Line and The Cocoanuts. [9] She began working with the creative team of the festival when she was fourteen. [10]

Seiger played the lead role in Violet at the PlayMakers Summer Youth Conservatory in July 2021. [4] [11] [12]

In 2023, during the SAG-AFTRA strike, Seiger played Sally Bowles in a Virginia Theatre Festival production of Cabaret . [9] [13]

On screen

Seiger's first screen role was in 2019 for the short film American Waste. [14] She was also in the short film Bernstein’s MASS: An Artist’s Call for Peace. [15]

In February 2021, Seiger landed her first big Hollywood gig when she became a regular on NBC's Law & Order: Organized Crime, playing the role of hacker Jet Slootmaekers. [15] [3] Because of COVID, she was cast for the role by submitting a recording. [16] A week later, she was cast and had two days to move to New York for shooting. [16] This was her first television credit. [17] [15]

"Return of the Prodigal Son" is the ninth episode of the 22nd season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The episode aired on April 1, 2021 on NBC. It features the reintroduction of the character Elliot Stabler, who had been written out of the series in the premiere episode of its 13th season, 10 years previously. The episode served as a precursor to the new series Law & Order: Organized Crime, of which Stabler is the main character. The episode was a two-part crossover event, which concluded with the Law & Order: Organized Crime premiere episode, "What Happens in Puglia".

The season was produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television; the new showrunner is David Graziano replacing Warren Leight. Molly Burnett was announced to join the cast on July 24. Burnett left the main cast after the season finale. On August 24, Kelli Giddish confirmed she would be leaving midway through the season.
