Ajay Data is an Indian entrepreneur with interest in IT, Edible Oil and Handball. He is elected [1] Chair of Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG). [2] Data led the creation of one of the world's first linguistic email address mobile apps for Internationalized Domain Names domains. [3] [4] He provided leadership as chair to bring Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Indian language Top level domain (TLD) into root servers. He has been recently credited [5] with Graham Bell Award for this innovation and Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Excellence Award for work in languages and script. ICANN-UASG case study [6] explains and talk about it in detail. He had proposed a standard for downgrading with Alias, which was accepted and recommended as best practice by Universal Acceptance Steering Group. [7] His mobile app provides access email access in 19 languages including Cyrillic, [8] Arabic, [9] Thai, Mandarin, [10] Korean [11] and 15 Indian [12] languages. which is available through DataMail app.

Early life and education

Ajay Data was born on 22 March 1973 in Khairthal, Alwar District Rajasthan. After completing his school education from Indra Happy School and Government Higher Secondary School, Khairthal, he moved to Jaipur for college studies.

After completion of his studies in 1999, Data founded Data Infosys Ltd, now called as Data Ingenious Global Ltd, in Rajasthan.

He is co-chair of ICANN Neo Brahmi Generation Panel. He was EAI Coordinator in UASG.TECH and Member of ISPCP Constituency. He is also member of Expert Panel [13] for Root Zone LGR application. He has been appointed (first Indian [14] ) for ccNSO Council [15] by NOMCOM [16] for the term to start from Oct 2018. In March 2020 results were announced by UASG where he was unopposed elected chairman for UASG [17] for 2021 to 2023.

Data has been part of volunteers panel created by ICANN named Neo Brahmi Generation Panel which created label generation rules for Top Level Domain names to enable official language of Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India.

Behror is a city in the Kotpulti-Behror district of Rajasthan of the Jaipur division. It serves as the administrative headquarters of the eponymous Behror Tehsil and shares headquarters for Kotputli-Behror district with Kotputli. It is equidistant from both sate capital Jaipur and national capital New Delhi. Located 120 km south-west of New Delhi and as a part of National Capital Region, it is regulated under National Capital Region Planning Board which is a federal authority for urban planning purposes in NCR. Khairthal is a District headquater of Khairthal–Tijara district of Indian state of Rajasthan. Previously it was part of the Alwar district. The town is at the northern end of the Aravalli Range. It has a major industrial importance in Rajasthan because of its connections with Delhi and Jaipur. Khairthal also has one of the biggest grain markets in Rajasthan. In 2000, the APMC Mandi was opened in Khairthal. Khairthal was founded by a community of Brahmin, who were later joined by Sindhi, Pushkarnas and then Vyasya communities. It is well known for milkcake, mustard oil and red onion.

Mandawar is a town in the Dausa district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located about 140 km (87 mi) from the state capital, Jaipur and 250 km (160 mi) from Delhi.

Bhogilal Pandya (1904-1981) was a freedom fighter and social worker from Dungarpur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. On 3 April 1976, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan for his social services. The Padma Bhushan is the third-highest civilian award in the Republic of India, given for distinguished service to the nation. For his championing of education and rights for the poor and underprivileged, he is referred by the people of Rajasthan as "Gandhi of Vahgad". His home is in the Gandhi aashram area of Dungarpur.

The Jaipur bombings were a series of nine synchronized bomb blasts that took place on 13 May 2008 within a span of fifteen minutes at locations in Jaipur, the capital city of the Indian state of Rajasthan and a tourist destination. Official reports confirm 63 dead with 216 or more people injured. The bombings shocked most of India and resulted in widespread condemnation from leaders across the world with many countries showing solidarity with India in its fight against terrorism.

Devarshi Kala Nath Shastry was born on 15 July 1936. He is a Sanskrit scholar and was honoured by the President of India in 1988. He is an Indologist and a prolific writer in Sanskrit, Hindi and English, and a well-known linguist, who has contributed to the campaign of evolving technical terminology in Indian languages and ensuring a respectable status for Hindi, the official language of his state and the Indian union.

Universal Acceptance (UA) is a term coined by Ram Mohan to represent the principle that every top-level domain (TLD) should function within all applications regardless of script, number of characters, or how new it is.
