Ajith Christopher Alirajah (born 25 September 1968) is a Sri Lankan former cricketer. He played thirteen first-class matches for Nondescripts Cricket Club between 1988 and 1991. [1] He was also part of Sri Lanka's squad for the 1988 Youth Cricket World Cup. [2] [3] He pursued his primary and secondary education at Saint Joseph's College,Colombo. He also played school cricket for St. Joseph's College. [4]
He later pursued his career in banking. He began his banking career at Standard Chartered and then worked as an Assistant General Manager in Trade Finance Services Department at Cargills Bank before becoming the Departmental Head of Trade Finance Services Department at Cargills Bank. [5] [6] [7]
The Sri Lanka men's national cricket team,nicknamed The Lions,represents Sri Lanka in men's international cricket. It is a full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test,One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) status. The team first played first class cricket in 1926–27 and became an associate member of the ICC in 1965. They made their international debut in the 1975 Cricket World Cup and were later awarded the Test status in 1981,which made Sri Lanka the eighth Test cricket-playing nation. Deshabandu Sanath Teran Jayasuriya,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer,captain,cricket administrator and coach. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest all rounders ever to play in ODI cricket. A left arm orthodox spinner,left handed batter and a dynamic fielder,Jayasuriya together with his opening partner Romesh Kaluwitharana is credited for having revolutionized one-day international cricket with his explosive batting in the mid-1990s,which initiated the hard-hitting modern-day batting strategy of all nations. He was a key member of the Sri Lankan team that won 1996 Cricket World Cup. Under his captaincy Sri Lanka became joint champions along with India in the 2002 Champions Trophy. Currently,he is the head coach of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.

Abdul Qadir Khan SI was an international cricketer who bowled leg spin for Pakistan. Abdul Qadir is widely regarded as a legendary leg spinner from the 1970s and 1980s and was a role model for up and coming leg spinners. Qadir was voted the best player in the Group B matches of the 1987 Cricket World Cup and won a car which he donated to Imran Khan for his Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre project. Wickramasinghe Gallage Pramodya,commonly known as Pramodya Wickramasinghe,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm-fast bowler. He is the former national chief selector of both Sri Lanka men's and women's cricket teams.
Kaushalya Weeraratne also known as Kaushal Weeraratne is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer. After starting his international career as a bowler,he later moved up the order to become an all-rounder,batting in the middle order and bowling medium-fast. He is regarded as one of the players to have been included in the lost generation of Sri Lanka cricket according to Lasith Malinga,an elite list which include players who have performed consistently in domestic circuit for over ten years but had to toil hard to play in international cricket due to the presence of frontline players. The National Stadium,now known as National Bank Stadium for sponsorship reasons,is a cricket stadium in Karachi,Sindh,Pakistan,owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board. It is the home ground of the Karachi Kings franchise in Pakistan Super League and of many other domestic cricket teams in Sindh. Hettimulla Appuhamilage Shashikala Dedunu Siriwardene,known as Shashikala Siriwardene,is a Sri Lankan former cricketer who captained the Sri Lankan women's cricket team in WODIs. She is the only woman cricketer to take 100 wickets in WODIs for Sri Lanka,and the only female Sri Lankan to combine this with 1,000+ runs. Ajith Nivard Cabraal is a Sri Lankan accountant and politician who was also the 16th Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. He is also the former State Minister of Finance,Capital Markets and State Enterprise Reforms and a former national list member of parliament from 2020 to 2021. He served as the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka,holding the post from 1 July 2006 until his resignation on 9 January 2015. He again became the Governor of Central Bank of Sri Lanka in September 2021,replacing W. D. Lakshman,and resigned again in April 2022.
