Akash Santosh Shinde (born 7 March 2001) is an Indian professional Kabaddi player who plays in the Pro Kabaddi League. [1] He plays as a left raider for Puneri Paltan in PKL. [2] He is selected for the Indian team for the 2022 Asian Games. [3]

Kabaddi is a contact team sport played between two teams of seven players, originating in ancient India. The objective of the game is for a single player on offense, referred to as a "raider", to run into the opposing team's half of the court, touch out as many of their players as possible, and return to their own half of the court, all without being tackled by the defenders in 30 seconds. Points are scored for each player tagged by the raider, while the opposing team earns a point for stopping the raider. Players are taken out of the game if they are touched or tackled, but are brought back in for each point scored by their team from a tag or a tackle. In the each two half there's a bonus line. While the raid time the raiders should touch that bonus line after that only he can touch the defenders. The bonus line carries 2 points. After every round the court is changed of the teams. Over the time is was the open ground game but now at national and international level it is played on mattes.
