Reception

A critic from Rediff.com wrote that "In a nutshell, a neatly packaged film worth watching". [4] A critic from The Times of India wrote that "At a time when all action packed superstar films are bombing big time in Kannada, Akasha Gange comes as a whiff of fresh air". [5] A critic from Indiaglitz wrote that "Director Dinesh Baboo's one of the best films in the career of 25 years 'Akasha Gange' is a wholesome entertainer with clean and tidy narration". [6]
