Hindu nationalism has been collectively referred to as the expression of social and political thought, based on the native spiritual and cultural traditions of the Indian subcontinent. Defenders of Hindu nationalism have tried to avoid the label "nationalism" by arguing that the use of the term "Hindu nationalism" to refer to Hindū rāṣṭravāda is a simplistic translation and is better described by the term "Hindu polity".
A political party is an organized group of people, often with common views, who come together to contest elections and hold power in the government. The party agrees on some proposed policies and programmes, with a view to promoting the collective good or furthering their supporters' interests.

Akhil Bhartiya Jan Sangh (also known as ABJS) was originated from the roots of Bhartiya Jana Sangh.[ citation needed ] Bhartiya Jana Sangh or Jana Sangh was established in 1951 by Shri Shyama Prasad Mukherjee who died in 1953. Akhil Bhartiya Jan Sangh was established in 1979.[ citation needed ]
Party’s ideology is based on Hindutva and Hindu philosophy and the party is working with Ram-Rajya as its principle whose endeavour is to provide a forum for coordination among various Hindu organisations. Some of the main subjects under the party’s agenda include a common citizenship law for all Indians, complete ban on cow slaughter, and ending the special status given to Kashmir.[ citation needed ]
The party is led by the President and Secretary General. The National President of ABJS is (Dr.) Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey and Secretary General of the ABJS is Shri Samir Singh Chandel IAS retd New Delhi.
The ABJS presses for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits and the scrapping of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.[ citation needed ]
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, abbreviated as RSS, is an Indian right-wing, Hindu nationalist, paramilitary volunteer organisation that is widely regarded as the parent organisation of the ruling party of India, the Bharatiya Janata Party. The RSS is one of the principal organizations of the Sangh Parivar group. Founded on 27 September 1925, it claimed a commitment to selfless service to India. The organisation is the world's largest voluntary missionary organization.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an Indian statesman who served three terms as the Prime Minister of India: first for a term of 13 days in 1996, then for a period of 13 months from 1998 to 1999, and finally, for a full term from 1999 to 2004. The Janata Party was an amalgam of Indian political parties opposed to the Emergency that was imposed between 1975 and 1977 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of the Indian National Congress. In the 1977 general election, the party defeated the Congress and Janata leader Morarji Desai became the first non-Congress prime minister in independent modern India's history.

Balraj Madhok was an Indian political activist and politician from Jammu. Originally an activist of the Hindu nationalist organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he later worked as a politician in the Bharatiya Jan Sangh (BJS). Chandikadas Amritrao Deshmukh also known as Nanaji Deshmukh was a social activist from India. He worked in the fields of education, health, and rural self-reliance. He was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan in 1999. He was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award in 2019 by Government of India. He was a leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and also a member of the Rajya Sabha.
Rajnath Ram Badan Singh is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who currently serves as the Home Minister. He previously served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and as a Cabinet Minister in the Vajpayee Government. He has also served as the President of the BJP twice, 2005 to 2009 and 2013 to 2014.
