Satabdi Roy (born 5 October 1969) is an Indian actress, film director and politician. As an actress she is known for her work in Bengali cinema. She is the recipient of BFJA Awards for two times. As an actress, she ruled the array of commercial Bengali cinema during the late 1980s and 1990s. As a director, she has been denounced critically for her use of superfluous themes. She is a Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha since 2009.

Shubho Drishti was a popular Bengali television soap opera. It premiered on 1 January 2018. It aired on Colors Bangla. It starred Gourab Roy Chowdhury and Aishwarya Sen in lead roles and Bidipta Chakraborty and Sukanya Goswami in a negative role. The show was produced by Shibaji Panja of Vandana Films and Enterprises. Prasenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta played cameo roles in this serial.

Ajogyo is a 2024 Indian Bengali-language romantic thriller film written and directed by Kaushik Ganguly. Produced by Surinder Singh and Nispal Singh under the banner of Surinder Films, the film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta in their 50th collaboration, alongside Silajit Majumder, Lily Chakravarty, Ambarish Bhattacharya and Sudip Mukherjee in another pivotal roles. The plot centers around a stay-at-home man, Raktim Majumdar, who is looking for work after his life falls apart. His wife, Parna, gets a job at an investment firm to support the family. Things get complicated when Raktim's confidante Prosen enters their lives.
