Akrofuom Senior High Technical School is a second cycle institution located in Akrofuom in the Adansi South District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. [1] [2]
The school was established in 1991. The first headmaster of the school was Mr. E. K. Osei. [3] In 2011, the headmaster of the school was Mr. Peter Amponsah. [4] In 2018, the assistant headmaster of the school was Mr. Jacob Anakpor. [5] In 2018, Anglogold Ashanti Mining Company donated books to the Akrofuom SHTS and other schools in Obuasi Municipality. [6]

The school came up first with 44pts followed by St Francis with 18pts and Krobo with 16pts. Masters Kojo Daniel Eshun and Lawrence Adjei were the proud contestants for that day. Obuasi Senior High Technical School has won the Ashanti regional Milo soccer competition in 2005 and 2015. In the Zonal Inter Colleges Athletics competition, they have won several times Students of the school were claimed to have created 'a touchless bin' in the fight against COVID-19.
