Akshay Akkineni is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his works in bollywood, and Telugu cinema. [1] [2] He made his directorial debut with the 2014 Hindi film, Pizza (2014). [3] [4] [5]

Early life

Akshay Akkineni was born into a Telugu family in Madras to film editor A. Sreekar Prasad, his grandfather is editor and director Akkineni Sanjeevi, the younger brother of Telugu film doyen L. V. Prasad. [6] [7] His family hails from the village of Somavarappadu near Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. [8] His grand father had five siblings four brothers and a sister. Akkineni Ramesh Prasad, son of L. V. Prasad is his cousin. K. B. Tilak, independence activist and filmmaker is also a cousin of his the son of his paternal aunt. [9]

Personal life

Akshay Akkineni is married to P. S. Keerthana, daughter of actors R. Parthiban and Seetha. [5] Keerthana appeared in Kannathil Muthamittal , which earned her the National Film Award for Best Child Artist in 2002. [10] [11]

Missamma is a 1955 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by L. V. Prasad. It was produced by Nagi Reddi and Chakrapani on Vijaya Productions banner. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Savitri, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Jamuna. The script was adapted by Chakrapani from Rabindranath Maitra's Bengali play Manmoyee Girls School. It revolves around two unemployed people — M. Sri Ramadasu is 2006 Indian Telugu-language biographical film, based on the life of musician saint Kancharla Gopanna. A reboot of V. Nagayya's 1964 film Ramadasu; the film is written and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. Produced by Konda Krishnam Raju the film starred Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Suman, Sneha and music was composed by M. M. Keeravani. Cinematography and editing were handled by S.
