The Kuwait Premier League, known as STC Premier League due to sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Kuwait football pyramid system. Formed in 1961, Al-Arabi and Qadsia are both holds the best record in the competition, having won 17 times.
Jaber al-Ahmad International Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the Ardhiyah area of Kuwait City, Kuwait. Completed in 2009, it is used mostly for football matches and athletics. The stadium has a capacity of 60,001 seated spectators, the building is constructed in 4 levels, with 54 corporate boxes and parking lot with a 6,000 car capacity. It was expected to open in second quarter of 2010, but the building failed structural-integrity testing and remained closed due to a miscalculation by structural engineers for nearly half a decade. However it was finally opened on 18 December 2015. Jaber Al-Ahmad stadium is currently the new home of the Kuwait national football team.

Qadsia Sporting Club is primarily an association football club. Based in Kuwait City, Qadsia is the most popular club in Kuwait. Al Qadsia was founded in 1953 and it was called Al-Jazira before being renamed to Qadsia SC on 20 October 1960. Qadsia currently plays in the Kuwait Premier League and has won the league recordable 17 times, as the top winning club in the league.
Kazma Sporting Club is a Kuwaiti football club founded in 1964. Kazma play at the Al-Sadaqua Walsalam Stadium in Adiliya, Al Asimah Governorate (Kuwait), Kuwait City and is the 3rd largest stadium in Kuwait. They have won the Kuwaiti Premier League 4 times. Kazma faced FC Barcelona at the end of the 2009–10 season, drawing 1–1 after Bojan Krkić scored in the 80th minute for Barcelona, before Abdullah Al Dhafiri equalised in the 90th minute with a fine effort for Kazma. On 19 April 2013 Kazma SC were relegated for the first time in their history after losing to Al-Arabi SC 3–0 in the final game of the 2012–13.
