Alain Brigion Tobe (born November 6, 1986) is a Cameroonian swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. [1] Tobe represented Cameroon at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and competed for the men's 50 m freestyle. He won the fifth heat in the event, with a time of 24.53 seconds, finishing sixty-first in the overall standings. [2]

The Federated States of Micronesia sent a team of five athletes to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The appearance of the delegation marked the third appearance by a Micronesian team at the Olympics since its debut at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Jan Micka is a Czech swimmer, who specialized in long-distance freestyle events. He is a two-time Czech record holder in the 800 and 1500 m freestyle. Micka is a member of the swimming team for USK Praha, and is coached and trained by Jaroslava Passerova.

Uladzimir Henadzievich Zhyharau is a Belarusian swimmer, who specialized in long-distance freestyle events. Zhyharau qualified for the men's 1500 m freestyle, as a member of the Belarusian swimming team, at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, by attaining a B-standard entry time of 15:28.22. He challenged six other swimmers on the first heat, including 17-year-old Jan Micka of the Czech Republic and two-time Olympian Ediz Yıldırımer of Turkey. Zhyharau finished the heat in sixth place by nearly fourteen seconds behind Bulgaria's Ventsislav Aydarski, recording the second-slowest time of 15:48.67. Zhyharau failed to advance into the final, as he placed thirtieth overall in the preliminaries.

Yoris Grandjean is a Belgian swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He won two gold medals at the 2006 FINA Youth World Swimming Championships, and later represented Belgium at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Since 2009, he still currently holds a Belgian record (22.13) in the 50 m freestyle from the national championships in Antwerp. Grandjean also trains for Liège Swimming Club under his head coach Andre Henvaux.

Elvis Vereance Burrows is a Bahamian swimmer who specializes in sprint freestyle and butterfly events. He is a four-time national record holder in his respective swimming events, and is a member of Kentucky Wildcats swimming team, upon his admission at the University of Kentucky.

Stanislau Anatolievich Neviarouski is a Belarusian former swimmer, who specialized in sprint and relay freestyle events. He is a two-time Olympian, and a multiple-time Belarusian record holder for the sprint freestyle events.

Paulius Viktoravičius is a Lithuanian swimmer, who specialized in sprint and relay freestyle events. He is a multiple-time Lithuanian swimming champion and record holder in both the freestyle and medley relay events.

Bryan Tay is a Singaporean swimmer, who specialized in individual and relay freestyle events. He is also a multiple-time medalist for the individual events, and a two-time defending champion for the relay freestyle events at the Southeast Asian Games.

Orinoco Faamausili-Banse-Prince is a New Zealand swimmer of Samoan heritage, who specialized in freestyle events. He represented New Zealand at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and competed as part of the men's national swimming team for the men's 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. Faamausili-Banse joined the team, along with compatriots Cameron Gibson, Mark Herring, and Willy Benson, and swam in the final leg of the competition, with an individual split time of 48.96 seconds. He and his swimming team placed sixth in the first heat, and eleventh overall, for a total time of 3:15.41.

Dwayne Benjamin Didon is a Seychellois swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. At age thirteen, Didon became the youngest male swimmer at the 2008 Summer Olympics, representing the island of Seychelles. He swam in the third heat of the men's 50 m freestyle event, finishing in fourth place, and eighty-fifth overall, with a time of 28.95 seconds.

Andrei Zaharov is a Moldovan former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle and individual medley events. Zaharov represented Moldova at four Olympics.

Mohamed Coulibaly is a Malian swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He represented Mali at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and competed in the men's 50 m freestyle event. Irakli Revishvili is a Georgian swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events. He represented his nation Georgia at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and has currently owned two Georgian national records in both the 200 and 400 m freestyle. Revishvili also trained for the national swimming team under the tutelage of head coach and 2004 Olympian Zurab Khomasuridze.
