Yeppoon is a coastal town and locality in the Shire of Livingstone, Queensland, Australia. Yeppoon is renowned for its beaches, tropical climate, and the islands out on the bay. Twenty-five minutes from the city of Rockhampton, Yeppoon is the principal town on the Capricorn Coast, a string of seaside communities stretching more than 150 kilometres (93 mi) from north to south. The beaches and shallow coves provide a destination both for tourists and retirees settling down in Central Queensland. Offshore, there are 27 islands including Great Keppel Island which is 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Yeppoon.
Bardon is a western suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north-west of the Brisbane CBD. Bardon is a leafy residential suburb, much of which nestles into the foothills of Mount Coot-tha. In the 2016 census, Bardon had a population of 9,500 people. It includes the neighbourhood of Rainworth.

He was a foundation member of the Blind, Deaf, and Dumb Institution and was central to the passage of the Blind, Deaf and Dumb Children Instruction Act of 1924 through the Parliament of Queensland which made education for visual and hearing impaired children compulsory in Queensland.
Harriet Pettifore Brims (1864-1939) was a pioneer female commercial photographer in Queensland, Australia. She opened a photographic studio in Ingham, Queensland before moving to Mareeba in 1904, where she established a new studio until she moved to Brisbane in 1914. Her photographic work provides information on people and places in the pioneer days of North Queensland.
