Speedway career

Rivett reached the final of the Speedway World Pairs Championship in the 1988 Speedway World Pairs Championship. [3] Despite riding for Australia he was called up to replace injured New Zealand rider David Bargh in the final. [4]

He started his British leagues career for Peterborough Panthers in 1984 but was then subject to an argument between Peterborough and Mildenhall Fen Tigers for his signature for the 1985 season. [5] In 1986, he joined the Exeter Falcons. [6] [7]

At the 1986 Australian Individual Speedway Championship, he won the bronze medal. [8]
