Alastair Seeley (born 4 October 1979 in Carrickfergus)[ citation needed ] is a motorcycle road racer riding in Superstock 1000 class for Northern Ireland based Synetiq BMW. [1]
During 2021, he competed in Northern Ireland, winning the Ulster Superbike and Supersport Championships. [2] [3]
At the close of North West 200 racing on 13 May 2023, Seeley had won 29 road races in the series. [4]
During 2017, he competed in the inaugural British GP2 category within the British Supersport National Championship riding a Spirit motorcycle having a Triumph 675 engine. [5]
He competed in the 2016 British Superbike Championship aboard a BMW S1000R, having switched from Tyco BMW in the Superstock class. [6] He was the 2009 British Superstock champion and the 2011 British Supersport champion, and also has a strong record in road racing.
He began circuit racing in 2000 in club events in Northern Ireland. In 2002 he racked up 20 wins, including his first national 125cc win and several 600 and Open class wins. His main 2003 focus was the Regal Championship, in which he regularly finished in the top ten, while he also won the Wirral Club Wales 600 and Powerbike Championship.[ citation needed ]
Seeley first came to wider attention by taking two wins in the 600cc class of the British Superbike Championship's Mondello Park round in 2004. That year he also made his first appearance at the North West 200, and won a 6-hour Pembury endurance race for Team Twilight. In 2005 he won the Irish Superbike Championship and contested in various other races. He successfully defended this in 2006, also winning the Irish Supersport title and taking 2 top-five finishes in the 600cc class at the North West 200. He also did some racing in America. [7]
For 2007 he moved to England finishing tenth overall in the British Superstock Championship on a Yamaha. He improved to fourth in 2008, also taking his first North West 200 victory in the Superstock class and winning the Monarch of Mondello title for the biggest payday of his career. [8] In 2009 he dominated the championship for the Relentless TAS Suzuki team, winning the first nine rounds and sealing the title with three rounds to spare, [9] regularly setting what would be competitive lap times on a Superbike. [10] He finished the season with two outings on an Evo Class Suzuki GSX-R1000, doing enough to earn a full-time ride for them in the main class.
Seeley made a flying start to his 2010 campaign, qualifying third and finishing third and fourth in the opening meeting at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit. [11] He scored consistent points in the early part of the season, although his second podium did not come until round 13 at Snetterton. He took his first win at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit, in a rain-affected race, [12] before failing to finish in the two Sunday races. [13]
For 2011 Seeley chose to stay with Relentless TAS Suzuki which meant that he was demoted to the supersport class. [14]

Michael Karl Rutter nicknamed "The Blade", is a British motorcycle racer. He currently races in the National Superstock 1000 Championship aboard a BMW S1000RR. He has a reputation for being at his best in wet conditions and his favourite circuit is Oulton Park. He won 29 British Superbike Championship races with the most recent being at Silverstone in 2010, and finished as series runner-up twice. He has also contested MotoGP and World Superbike Championship events.
James Desmond Ellison is an English motorcycle racer. After two seasons on a Yamaha R1, Ellison expected to retire at the end of 2018, but in 2019 again competed in the British Superbike Championship series aboard a BMW S1000RR, before parting company with his team half-way through the season in August. He then joined another British Superbike team for the remainder of the 2019 season, starting from the September event at Oulton Park, on the ex-Danny Kent machine, previously an ex-Leon Camier 2016 MV Agusta F4.
Michael Laverty is an occasional motorcycle racer from Toomebridge, Northern Ireland. After participating in the 2017 season in the British Superbike Championship aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1, and the 2018 season on a Tyco BMW, Laverty became a television commentator and occasional rider in Endurance events.
Joshua Brookes is a professional road racer of motorcycles with experience of Superbike and Supersport racing, both domestically and internationally. For 2023, Brookes joined FHO Racing aboard a BMW M1000RR.
TAS Racing is an international motorcycle road racing team based in Moneymore, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Owned by Hector Neill, with his son Philip Neill as the team manager, the team has been known under a series of names: TAS Suzuki (2000–2006); Relentless Suzuki (2007–2011) an energy drink product of Coca-Cola; Tyco Suzuki (2012–2014) a security services supplier. In late 2014, after a 15-year partnership with Suzuki, the team signed to become the road racing partner for BMW Motorrad.
Simon Neil Stuart Andrews was a British motorcycle racer. He competed in the British Superbike Championship for the MSS Kawasaki aboard a Kawasaki ZX10-R and RAF Reserves team, aboard a Honda CBR1000RR. He died as a result of a crash when racing on a road course in Northern Ireland.
Hudson Kennaugh is a South African professional motorcycle racer. He currently competes in the British National Superstock 1000 championship aboard a BMW S1000RR. He is a former South African Superbike champion, he rode the 2009 British Supersport Championship, for the Linxcel-Seton Tuning Team. His surname is of Manx descent and is pronounced 'Ken-Oh'.(Although, the surname on the Isle of Man is pronounced as 'Kenyk' rather like the word 'cognac' only starting with 'ken' rather than 'con')

Billy McConnell is an Australian motorcycle racer. He is signed for the OMG Racing team to ride their BMW S1000RR in the British National Superstock 1000 Championship, completing the team with Superbike riders Luke Mossey and Héctor Barberá. McConnell missed races at the start of the 2019 season due to illness.
The 2010 British Superbike season was the 23rd British Superbike Championship season. The season commenced on 5 April at Brands Hatch and ended on 10 October at Oulton Park after 26 races at twelve meetings held in England and Scotland. Due to the economic climate many rule changes were discussed including one bike per rider and the banning of electronic aids. The season featured a new Evo Class for less-developed bikes and a new 'Showdown' points system to keep the championship close until the end.
Daniel Craig Linfoot is a motorcycle road racer who, for 2022, competed at the start of the season in the British Superbike Championship, then in July, halfway through the season, switched to the Superstock category, a support class within the Superbike racing events. He was part of an Endurance race team, and also raced in Superstock at the end of 2021.
The 2011 British Superbike season was the 24th British Superbike Championship season. No major rules were changed from the previous year with the showdown section of the season staying and the continuation of the evolution class below the main superbike class. The field had greater quality than the year before with champion Ryuichi Kiyonari returning to defend his title on the HM Plant Honda alongside the returning former British superbike champion Shane Byrne. This meant that Josh Brookes moved onto the lone Relentless by TAS Suzuki, with Michael Laverty and Tommy Hill moving to a new swan Yamaha team. The major signing was that of former Moto GP rider John Hopkins who joined the Samsung crescent Suzuki squad alongside Jon Kirkham.
Gary Mason is a British motorcycle road racer, born 4 May 1979 in Tamworth, Staffordshire. He is a former British Superbike Championship privateers cup champion. Mason has previously raced in the British Supersport Championship and the AMA supersport and superstock classes. He currently races a BMW S1000RR in the British National Superstock 1000 Championship.
Gino Daniel Rea is an English motorcycle racer. In August 2022 he suffered serious injuries in a practice crash at the Suzuka 8 Hours. After emergency hospital treatment including an induced coma, after a month he was transferred by a specialised medical aircraft from Japan to London.
Daniel Richard Kneen was a professional motorcycle racer from Douglas, Isle of Man.
Taylor Mackenzie is a former Grand Prix motorcycle racer based in Leicestershire, England. In late 2021, Mackenzie announced his intended retirement from racing at the end of the season. Shortly afterwards, it was announced that from the 2022 season, Mackenzie would be team manager for VisionTrack Honda Moto3, a new team in Moto3 headed by ex-racer Michael Laverty.
Christian Iddon is a British motorcycle racer from Stockport, England. He is the son of former racer Paul Iddon.
