Aleksey Bannikov (born 26 September 1973) is a Kazakhstani freestyle skier. He competed at the 1992, 1994, 1998, and the 2002 Winter Olympics. [1]

Quaesitosaurus is a genus of nemegtosaurid sauropod containing only the type species, Q. orientalis, described by Kurzanov and Bannikov in 1983. It lived from 75 to 73 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous. Its fossils, consisting solely of a partial skull designated as the holotype PIN 3906/2, were found in the Barun Goyot Formation near Shar Tsav, Mongolia. Viktor Maksymovych Bannikov was a Ukrainian football official and a Soviet player. He was considered one of the best goalkeepers in the Soviet Union earning the title of the best twice in 1964 and 1970. Bannikov had 138 clean sheets earning him a place in the symbolic Lev Yashin club. Distinguished Master of Sport of USSR (1991). He died on the 25 April 2001 and he has buried at the Baikove Cemetery in Baikova St, 6, Kyiv, Ukraine, where also Valeriy Lobanovskyi was buried.

Viktor Bannikov Memorial Tournament is annual summer association football friendly competition for junior teams that take place in various cities of Ukraine, since 1998. This tournament was created in honour and memory of the legendary goalkeeper of the USSR national football team and the first president of the Football Federation of Ukraine Viktor Bannikov (1938-2001), hence the name Memorial. The tournament was initially established in 1998 as a competition for junior teams of Ukrainian football clubs. Victor Bannikov opened his first edition. It was contested by 12 teams. DFK "ATEK" won defeating opponents from FC Dynamo Kyiv. In 1999, the tournament has received international status and was contested by 16 junior teams. In 2002, the Ukrainian football federation has decided to give more importance professional status, inviting the participation of junior national teams.

Shooting at the 1960 Summer Olympics – Mens 50 metre pistol Sports shooting at the Olympics

The men's ISSF 50 meter pistol was a shooting sports event held as part of the Shooting at the 1960 Summer Olympics programme. It was the tenth appearance of the event. The competition was held on 5 and 6 September 1960 at the Umberto I Shooting Range in Rome. 67 shooters from 40 nations competed. Nations had been limited to two shooters each since the 1952 Games. The event was won by Aleksey Gushchin of the Soviet Union, as the Soviet team finished 1–2 with Makhmud Umarov repeating as silver medalist. Yoshihisa Yoshikawa of Japan took bronze.

The 1992 Vyshcha Liha Final is a football match that was played at the Ukraina Stadium, Lviv on June 21, 1992. The match was the 1st league's final and was contested by both groups leaders Tavriya Simferopol and Dynamo Kyiv.
