Alexander Melvin Corbett (25 November 1855 – 7 October 1934) [1] was an English first-class cricketer, who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
Born in Aston Common, Rotherham, Yorkshire, England, Corbett went through his first-class career of one match without scoring a run or bowling a ball, but he took one catch. [1] He played against the W. G. Grace led Gloucestershire at Bramall Lane, Sheffield in July 1881, a match won by the visitors by five wickets.
A pattern maker by trade, he played his club cricket with Elsecar C.C.
He died in Rotherham in October 1934, aged 78.
George Gibson Macaulay was a professional English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1920 and 1935. He played in eight Test matches for England from 1923 to 1933, achieving the rare feat of taking a wicket with his first ball in Test cricket. One of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1924, he took 1,838 first-class wickets at an average of 17.64 including four hat-tricks.
Wilfred Barber was a professional first-class cricketer who played for Yorkshire County Cricket Club from 1926 to 1947. He played two Test matches for England in 1935 against South Africa. An opening batsman with an excellent batting technique, Barber often batted in the middle order. He scored 16,402 runs in first-class cricket at an average of 34.28 with 29 centuries. Barber made his debut in 1926 and made several appearances over the next few seasons. Despite a sound defence, Barber did not secure a regular first team place until 1932. He scored a thousand runs for the first time that season, a feat he was to achieve eight times, while he scored over 2,000 runs in 1935. Until the Second World War broke out, Barber continued as a regular member of the Yorkshire side. After the war, he played one more full season before retiring in 1947. His career continued in club cricket and he went on to coach local sides before his death in 1968.

Walker Wainwright was an English first-class cricketer, who played twenty-four matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club, and one for the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), between 1903 and 1905. He also umpired one Test match. He was the younger brother of Ted Wainwright.

He also played first-class cricket for Oxford University (1871–1874), Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) (1873–1882), Gentlemen of England (1871–1883), The Gentlemen (1873) and I Zingari (1881–1882). He played non first-class games for I Zingari (1872–1875), MCC (1874) and Harrow Wanderers (1887).
Charles Lee was an English first-class cricketer, who played two matches for Yorkshire in 1952, one for the Minor Counties in 1953, and 268 matches for Derbyshire between 1954 and 1964. He captained Derbyshire in his last two seasons in the game, and scored over 12,000 runs for the club.
