Alexandra Halt railway station, or simply Alexandra Halt, was a railway station on the Singapore-Johore Railway which served the surrounding neighbourhoods, and as a halt for trains travelling along the railway, from 3 May 1932 to sometime before 1943.
As it was decided that Tank Road station was unfit to be the terminus of the line, it was decided that the Bukit Timah-Tank Road section of the line would be abandoned, and the line would instead deviate in between Bukit Panjang station and Bukit Timah station, travelling down a different route which ran along the west of the main town, to a new terminal station at Tanjong Pagar, [3] with a new station being built at Bukit Timah, and two new stations at Tanglin and Alexandra. [1] Alexandra Halt railway station was opened to the public on 3 May 1932 as one of four new stations on the new route of the Singapore-Kranji railway, [1] [4] [5] along Alexandra Road. [6] Besides being a stopping place for trains travelling on the railway, [1] the station also serviced the areas surrounding the Alexandra Barracks. [6]
The station was abandoned and demolished by 1943, likely due to the fact the Tanglin station had instead replaced Alexandra Halt as a halt on the railway line. [2]

The Jurong railway line is a former railway line located in Singapore. Stretching a total of 12 miles (19 km) from Bukit Timah to the Jurong industrial estate, the line consisted of a 9 miles (14 km) main line and three branches. The line was initially planned as part of the Jurong industrial estate by the Singapore government, to connect the industrial estate with Malaya and to facilitate the transfer of goods between Malaya and Jurong. A $6 million loan was given to the Malayan Railway for its construction, which was carried out by the railway and the Economic Development Board, and construction of the line took place between September 1963 and November 1965, with the first train services commencing in the same month. The line was then officially opened on 4 March 1966. However, the line's potential was limited by Singapore's separation from Malaysia in 1965, with 128,000 tons of freight transported on the line in 1974, and the line eventually closed in the 1990s. Portions of the line remain in place, some of which have become popular among explorers and wildlife enthusiasts.
