Alexandra Saduakassova (born 10 September 2002) [1] is a Kazakh [2] sport shooter. She participated at the 2021 World Running Target Championships, winning two gold medals in the women's junior and mixed junior events. [3] [4] [5] Saduakassova lost to Zuhkra Irnazahova in the bronze medal play-off at the 2021 Asian Airgun Championships. [6]
The ISSF World Shooting Championships are governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. World Shooting Championships began in 1897, after the successful 1896 Summer Olympics, and although the ISSF was not founded until 1907, these early competitions are still seen by the organization as the beginning of a continuous row of championships. By this logic, the 2006 competition in Zagreb was called the 49th ISSF World Shooting Championships. These championships, including all ISSF shooting events, are held every four years since 1954. For the shotgun events only, there is an additional World Championship competition in odd-numbered years. These extra competitions are not numbered. In running target, there will be World Championships in Olympic years.
Zuzana Rehák-Štefečeková is a Slovak sports shooter. She won the gold medal in the Women's Trap event at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the silver medal at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
The European Shooting Championships are the continental championships for ISSF sport shooting disciplines in Europe, including 10m air rifle and air pistol, cartridge rifle and pistol. Sometimes the competition also includes trap shooting, skeet and running target shooting events, usually organized in special championships.
Shooting competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were originally scheduled from 25 July to 3 August 2020, due to the postponement of the Summer Olympics to 2021, the rescheduled dates were on 24 July to 2 August 2021 at the Asaka Shooting Range. Unlike in 2016, the number of shooters competing across fifteen events at these Games had been reduced from 390 to 360, with an equal distribution between men and women. Furthermore, several significant changes were instituted in the Olympic shooting program, including the substitution of three male-only events, with the mixed team competitions.
Seonaid McIntosh is a British sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the 50m Prone Rifle event. In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning five World Cup medals. She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score.
India participated at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 6 October to 18 October 2018. India managed their best ever medal haul of the Youth Olympics in this edition. Among the 206 participating nations, India ranked 17th on the medals tally.
Elavenil Valarivan is an Indian sport shooter from Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. Elavenil represented India at the 2018 ISSF Junior World Cup and won a gold medal. She clinched silver in 2019 World University Games, after which she won gold at the 2019 World Junior World Cup. She has won first at 2019 ISSF 10-meter Air Rifle world cup on 28 August scoring 251.7 in Rio de Jenerio. She is also Arjuna Awardee (2022).
The 2022 World Running Target Championships were originally scheduled to be held from 20 to 30 September 2021 in Châteauroux, France, but have been postponed until 2022.
Ganemat Sekhon is an Indian sport shooter who specializes in skeet. At the 2021 ISSF World Cup in New Delhi, Sekhon became the first Indian to win a medal in the Women's skeet event of an ISSF World Cup. She is right handed and is right eye dominant. She is part of the Indian shooting team at the Asian Games, Hangzhou, China. She was part of the Indian women's skeet team along with Darshna Rathore and Parinaaz Dhaliwal, that finished fourth in the Asian Games shooting competitions.
Veronika Major is a Hungarian sports shooter. She competed in the women's 10 metre air pistol event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and won bronze medal in the women's 25 metre pistol event at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
British Shooting is the national governing body for ISSF shooting sport disciplines in the United Kingdom. The organisation serves as a single shooting body to receive public funding from UK Sport and Sport England, administer high performance squads and talent pathways as well as serve as the member body for shooting sports with organisations such as the British Olympic Association and ISSF.
Dhanush Srikanth is an Indian deaf sports shooter. He made his Deaflympic debut at the age of 19 representing India at the 2021 Summer Deaflympics. Despite his deafness, he has been competing in Indian shooting circuit and has been regarded as one of the regular faces in Indian shooting fraternity. He is currently coached by former Indian sports shooter Gagan Narang at the Guns for Glory Shooting Academy in Hyderabad.

The number of shooters competing across fifteen events was reduced from 360 at the previous Games to 340, with an equal distribution between men and women. Furthermore, several significant changes were instituted in the Olympic shooting program, including the new final format and the substitution of the mixed team trap competitions with the mixed team skeet.
Udhayveer Sidhu is an Indian sport shooter who competes in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol, 25 meter pistol, 25 meter standard pistol and 10 meter air pistol. He won a twenty plus international medals representing India. He is in the Indian Shooting Team since 2018. In 2018 ISSF Junior World Cup he won the 25m pistol bronze at the Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany, and he and his twin brother Vijayveer Sidhu, along with Raj Kanwar Singh, claimed the Indian team's historic gold medal in the event with a world record score of 1747. He won two golds in 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships. In 2019 he won two golds and a bronze in 2019 ISSF Junior World Cup and later at 2019 Asian Shooting Championships in 25 meter standard pistol he won a gold and a silver. In 2021 at 2021 ISSF Junior World Championships he won an individual gold. In 2022 at ISSF Junior World Cup held at Suhl, Germany he won the silver in 25 meter standard pistol open junior mixed team and later at 2022 ISSF World Shooting Championships he won two golds and a bronze.
Jenny Vatne is a Norwegian sports shooter. As of October 2023, she has won four team medals at ISSF World Championships, as well as two medals at European Shooting Championships.
Raiza Dhillon is an Indian sport shooter. She secured an Olympic quota berth for the 2024 Summer Olympics in the women's skeet event by winning a gold medal at the Asian Shotgun Championships, an Asian Olympic qualifier event on 20 January 2024 at Kuwait City. She became the first Indian woman to potentially qualify for an Olympic skeet event. It also brought the Indian Olympic quota count to 19. The quota berth won by a shooter is a berth for the country and the Federation, which can nominate any shooter for Olympics, as per set criteria.
Agathe Cecile Camille Girard is a target shooter from France. She has won bronze at two ISSF World Championships.
Gwenllian Seren Thorne is a British sports shooter who won two medals at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Granada. She is the British Junior Women's record holder for both Qualification and Finals in the 10 metre air rifle event.
Sheileen Waibel is an Austrian sports shooter. She has represented Austria in ISSF Air Rifle and 50M Rifle at European and World Championship level. Her father is Olympic medallist Wolfram Waibel Jr., and grandfather is five time Olympian Wolfram Waibel Sr.
Yang Zeng is a Chinese sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2012 World Running Target Championships in the 10m Running Target event. With Li Xue Yan and Su Li, she set a Women's Team World Record in the 10m Running Target Mixed event at the 2010 World Championships.
