Alexandru Aposteanu (born 9 August 1942) is a Romanian rower. He competed in the men's double sculls event at the 1968 Summer Olympics. [1]

Alexandru "Dudu" Frim was a Romanian bobsledder who competed in the 1930s. He won the gold medal in the two-man event at the 1934 FIBT World Championships. He also finished 15th in the two-man event at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Frim was also an aviator, earning his pilot license in 1931. Frim also won the Grand Prix of Sports Aviation and Cup of Brasov Aero-Club in 1939. Frim later participated in World War II as a pilot for Romania.

Alexandru Bratan is a male weightlifter from Moldova. He twice competed for his native country at the Summer Olympics: 2000 and 2004. He is best known for winning the silver medal in the men's heavyweight division at the 2005 World Weightlifting Championships. His brother is Eugen Bratan.

Alexandru Roșu is a Romanian weightlifter. Rosu represented Romania at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's lightweight class (69 kg). Unfortunately, Rosu did not finish the event, as he successfully lifted 136 kg (300 lb) in the single-motion snatch, but failed to hoist 165 kg (364 lb) in the two-part, shoulder-to-overhead clean and jerk.

Alexandru Dudoglo is a Moldovan weightlifter. Dudoglo represented Moldova at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's lightweight category (69 kg). Dudoglo originally placed ninth in this event, as he successfully lifted 145 kg in the single-motion snatch, and hoisted 172 kg in the two-part, shoulder-to-overhead clean and jerk, for a total of 317 kg.
