Sergey Ashihmin (‹See Tfd›Russian: Серге́й Ашихмин; is a Russian-born Kyrgyzstani former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He is a two-time Olympian, and a former Kyrgyzstan record holder in the 50 and 100 m freestyle. While playing for the Russian senior team, Ashihmin also earned a silver medal, along with Denis Pimankov, Dmitry Chernyshov, and double Olympic champion Alexander Popov, in the 4×100 m freestyle relay at the 1999 European Aquatics Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.

He is a single-time Olympian (2000), and a former Kyrgyzstan record holder in the 200 and 400 m freestyle. His primary years were spent at Cowan House Preparatory School, after which he attended Michaelhouse. In recognition of his achievements and dedication to swimming, Michaelhouse renamed one of its swimming pools the Folker Pool. While moving on to reside in the United States, Folker achieved school records in a sprint freestyle double and also trained for the University of Hawaii's swimming and diving team, also known as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, under the tutelage of head coach Sam Freas.
Robbie Taylor is a Canadian former swimmer who specialized in sprint freestyle and backstroke events. He earned a silver medal, as a 17-year-old at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, and later represented Canada at the 2000 Summer Olympics. During his sporting career, Taylor trained for the Cobra Swim Club in Brampton, Ontario, under Bill O'Toole, swam for the Texas A&M Aggies swimming and diving team under head coach Mel Nash, and swam at the Canadian National Sport Centre under legendary coach Paul Bergen.

He represented Israel at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and also earned Southeastern Conference and All-American honors as a member of the University of Alabama's swimming and diving team, while studying in the United States
Minvydas Packevičius is a Lithuanian former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. Packevicius competed for Lithuania in the 4×100 m freestyle relay at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Teaming with Arūnas Savickas, Saulius Binevičius, and Rolandas Gimbutis in heat two, Packevicius swam the second leg and recorded a split of 50.53, but the Lithuanians settled only for sixth place and sixteenth overall in a final time of 3:23.68.
Carlos Santander is a Venezuelan former swimmer, who specialized in sprint and middle-distance freestyle events. He represented Venezuela in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also swam for the Fort Lauderdale Swim Team in Florida, while residing in the United States. During his college career, Santander trained for the NC State Wolfpack swimming and diving team, under head coach Beth Harrell, at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Henrik Steen Andersen is a Danish former swimmer, who specialized in sprint and middle-distance freestyle events. He represented Denmark at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and also trained for the swim team at Taastrup Sport Club.
Aleksandr Shilin is a Russian-born Kyrgyzstani former swimmer, who specialized in middle-distance freestyle and sprint backstroke events. Melanie Dodd is an Australian former swimmer who specialized in sprint freestyle events. She represented the host nation Australia, as a 27-year-old, at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and also trained for the Australian Institute of Sport, under Russian-based swim coach Gennadi Touretski. She won two medals, a silver and bronze, in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay at the 1995 FINA Short Course World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, and 1999 FINA Short Course World Championships in Hong Kong.
Valentyna Trehub is a Ukrainian former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. Trehub competed for Ukraine in two relay swimming events at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. On the first day of the Games, Trehub teamed up with Nadiya Beshevli, Olena Lapunova, and Olga Mukomol in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. Swimming the second leg, she recorded a split of 57.39, but the Ukrainians rounded out the seven-team field to last place and thirteenth overall in a final time of 3:49.11. Because of her powerful effort in the freestyle relay and Mukomol's decision to focus on her sprint double, Trehub was selected to join with Beshevli, Svitlana Bondarenko, and Olena Hrytsyuk in the 4 × 100 m medley relay. During the prelims race, she swam the freestyle leg in heat three with an anchor of 58.22 to deliver a fifth-place finish and sixteenth overall for the Ukrainians in 4:15.64.
