The World Boxing Association (WBA), formerly known as the National Boxing Association (NBA), is the oldest and one of four major organizations which sanction professional boxing bouts, alongside the World Boxing Council (WBC), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). The WBA awards its world championship title at the professional level. Founded in the United States in 1921 by 13 state representatives as the NBA, in 1962 it changed its name in recognition of boxing's growing popularity worldwide and began to gain other nations as members.

He retired with an undefeated record and held multiple world championships in two weight classes, including unified super middleweight titles between 2009 and 2015, and unified light heavyweight titles between 2016 and 2017.
Stephen Collins is an Irish former professional boxer who competed from 1986 to 1997. Known as the Celtic Warrior, Collins is the most successful male Irish boxer in recent professional boxing history, having held the WBO middleweight and super-middleweight titles simultaneously and never losing a fight as champion.

Clinton Woods is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1994 to 2009, and held the IBF light-heavyweight title from 2005 to 2008. David Starie is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1994 to 2003. He challenged twice for world championships; the WBO super middleweight title in 2000 and the unified WBA (Super) and IBF super middleweight titles in 2003. At regional level, he held the British super middleweight title twice; first in 1997 and again from 1998 to 2001, and also held the Commonwealth super middleweight title from 1998 to 2002.
Nicky Piper MBE is a retired Welsh super middleweight and light heavyweight boxer from Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff. His career was at its peak in the 1990s; he became the Commonwealth Light-heavyweight champion in 1995. He was trained by Charlie Pearson and managed by Frank Warren. Since retiring from boxing, Piper has become a notable administrator in British boxing and currently works for The City Hospice as their Corporate Partnerships Manager.
Terry Downes, BEM was a British middleweight boxer, occasional film actor, and businessman. He was nicknamed the "Paddington Express" for his aggressive fighting style.
Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán, commonly known as Canelo, is a Mexican professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in four weight classes from light middleweight to light heavyweight, including unified titles in three of those weight classes and lineal titles in two. Álvarez is the first and only boxer in history to become undisputed champion at super middleweight, having held the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC) and Ring magazine titles since 2020, and the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) titles since 2021.
Frank Moody was a Welsh boxer who fought between 1914 and 1936. He is most notable for winning the British and Empire middleweight boxing championship in 1927 and 1928 and the light-heavyweight title from 1927 to 1929.

Frank Buglioni is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2011 to 2018. He challenged once for the WBA super-middleweight title in 2015. At regional level, he held the British light-heavyweight title from 2016 to 2018, and challenged once for the Commonwealth light-heavyweight title in 2018.
Callum John Smith is an English professional boxer. He held the World Boxing Association (WBA) and Ring magazine super-middleweight titles from 2018 to 2020. At regional level, he held the British and European super-middleweight titles between 2015 and 2017. In 2018 he won the World Boxing Super Series super-middleweight tournament, winning the Muhammad Ali trophy in the process. He is the youngest of the Smith brothers—Paul, Stephen, and Liam—all of whom are professional boxers.
Guy "Arc Angel" Waters is an Australian professional welter/light middle/middle/super middle/light heavy/cruiserweight boxer of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He won the New South Wales State (Australia) light heavyweight title, Australian light heavyweight title, Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) light heavyweight title, Australasian Light Heavyweight Title, World Boxing Federation (WBF) light heavyweight title, International Boxing Federation (IBF) Pan Pacific super middleweight title, Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) super middleweight title, and Commonwealth light heavyweight title. He was also a challenger for the WBC light heavyweight title against Dennis Andries, World Boxing Association (WBA) World light heavyweight title against Virgil Hill, World Boxing Council (WBC) cruiserweight title against Juan Carlos Gómez, and Commonwealth super middleweight title against David Starie. His professional fighting weight varied from 167+1⁄2 lb, i.e. super middleweight to 185+1⁄4 lb, i.e. cruiserweight.
Liam Mark Smith is a British professional boxer. He held the World Boxing Organization (WBO) light-middleweight title from 2015 to 2016. At regional level, he has held multiple light-middleweight championships, including the British and Commonwealth titles between 2012 and 2015. Smith is the younger brother of Paul Smith and Stephen Smith, and the older brother of Callum Smith; all of whom are professional boxers.
Fidel Castro Smith, also known as Slugger O'Toole, is a British former boxer who was British super middleweight champion between 1991 and 1992 and fought for the Commonwealth and European titles.
Ron Barton was a British boxer who was British light-heavyweight champion in 1956 and also fought for the commonwealth title.
John Ryder is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2010 to 2024. He held an interim super-middleweight world title twice, and challenged twice for full world titles in that weight class, including the undisputed championship. At regional level, he challenged twice for the British middleweight title and once for the British super-middleweight title.
