Ali Nawaz Awan is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from October 2018 till January 2023.
He served as the opposition leader in the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation. [1]
Awan was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from the Constituency NA-53 (Islamabad-II) in 2018 Pakistani by-elections held on 14 October 2018. [2]
On 7 November,he was inducted into the federal cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan and was appointed as Special Assistant to Prime Minister on affairs of Capital Development Authority. [3]

She is currently Senior Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League (N). In 2012,she entered politics and was put in charge of the election campaign of PML-N,her father's political party,during the 2013 general elections. After the elections,she was appointed the Chairperson of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme. However,she resigned in 2014 after her appointment was criticised by Imran Khan on the basis of nepotism and her degree being challenged in the Lahore High Court.

At the provincial level,the PTI remained the largest party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP);the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) retained its dominance in Sindh and the newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan. In Punjab,the result was a hung parliament with the Pakistan Muslim League (N) winning the most seats. However,after several independents MPAs joined the PTI,the latter became the largest party and was able to form a government.
