Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani was the Emir of Qatar from 27 February 1972 until he was deposed by his son Hamad bin Khalifa in a coup on 27 June 1995.
The Consultative Assembly is the legislative body of the State of Qatar,with 45 members. Following the 2021 Qatari general election,it has 30 elected and 15 appointed members. The body can only question the prime minister,who is appointed by the Emir of Qatar,on his policies if two-thirds of the members agree,which is unlikely given that one-third of the members are appointed by the Emir.

Qatar Sports Investments (QSi) is a Qatari-government operated shareholding organization founded in 2005 and based in Doha,Qatar. Revenues generated from ventures of QSi are reinvested into Qatar's sport,leisure and entertainment sectors. QSi is led by Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Vice Chairman Adel Mohammed Tayyeb Mustafawi,and its board of directors has three additional members. According to Una Galani,QSi "is thought to be owned by the [Qatar] finance ministry and the Qatar Olympic Committee." Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al-Marri is a Qatari human rights figure and politician born on November 30,1972. He was appointed Minister of Labour of the State of Qatar on October 19,2021,and was re-appointed Minister of Labor by an Amiri order in March 2023. Before taking up the ministerial portfolio,he had chaired the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) for State of Qatar since 2009. He also served as acting president and secretary-general of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions and as president of the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions. In 2012 he was elected chairman of the Permanent Arab Committee on Human Rights of the Arab League and chairman of the Asia Pacific Forum for the session 2013 to 2015. He was re-elected as chairman of the NHRC of the State of Qatar in 2019. In June 2023,Al-Marri was elected as president of the United Nation's annual International Labour Conference.
Sheikh Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani is a Qatari politician. Previously he had served as Minister of Environment and Climate Change from 19 October 2021 until 8 January 2024.
