Alireza Nader

Alireza Nader is an International Policy Analyst at the Rand Corporation [1] and author of a number of reports for the Rand Corporation on Iran. [2] He subsequently worked as an advisor to Anti-Defamation League (ADL). [3] He currently serves on the ADL's Task Force to Protect Minority Communities of Middle East. [4] He has given interviews for BBC Arabic, BBC Persian, Voice of America. He has also given testimony on human rights abuses in Iran before the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Subcommittee on The Middle East and South Asia. [5]

He has a M.A. in international affairs from The George Washington University; a Bachelor of Arts in political science from University of California, Santa Barbara. [6]

The coalition is made up of different Iranian dissident groups, with its main member being the People's Mujahedin of Iran (MEK). Both organizations are considered to be led by Maryam Rajavi.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Ground Forces, acronymed NEZSA, are the land force which the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), maintain in parallel to the regular army of Iran. Politics in the Islamic Republic of Iran are dictated by factionalism. All political parties were banned in the Islamic Republic in 1987. Ministry of Guards was a government ministry in Iran between 1982 and 1989, which mainly acted as a ministry of defence dedicated to logistically supply the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. By having its own ministry, the Corps were able to acquire a powerful voice in the cabinet of Iran. It also implied greater regulation and supervision over the Corps by placing its acquisitions and purchases under and the audit and purview of the government.
