Alishba Yousuf [2] [3] [4] (born 16 September 1985) is a Pakistani VJ, model and actress who works in Pakistani television series and telefilms. She has appeared in supporting roles in several television series, including Main Abdul Qadir Hoon (2010), Takkay ki Ayegi Baraat (2011), Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley (2012), Annie ki Ayegi Baraat (2012), Sargoshi (2016) and Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay (2012). Personal life

Alishba was born on 16 September 1985, and was brought up in a Muslim family in Karachi, Pakistan. She is the sister of VJ Palwasha Yousuf and actress Syra Yousuf. [11] [12] [13] [14]

On 12 February 2009, she married Rayyan Durrani (who appeared in MasterChef Pakistan ) in Karachi. The couple has a daughter, name Iliyana. [15]

Career

Yousuf started her career as a VJ at TV channel AAG. [14] Since then, she has appeared in many TV commercials of leading Pakistani brands like Mobilink, Fair & Lovely, and Peki. [16] Yousuf made her acting debut in the serial Chand Pe Dastak on Hum TV. Then she appeared in Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, a drama serial produced by Hum TV, Ek Nazar Meri Taraf on Geo TV, Takkay ki Ayegi Baraat , Meray Charagar, Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley on Hum TV and Annie ki Ayegi Baraat . She also appeared in the ARY Digital reality show Desi Kuriyan with her sister Palwasha. <i>Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat</i> 2011 Pakistani comedy serial franchise

Takkay ki Ayegi Baraat is a Pakistani comedy-drama that aired on Geo TV from June 2011 to October 2011. The third instalment of its kind, it is a continuation of the hit Dolly ki Ayegi Baraat in the Evernew's popular storyline of Kis Ki Ayegi Baraat. The show includes most of the characters from Dolly ki Ayegi Baraat, and focuses on the story of Mustaq a.k.a. Takkay and Sila's friend Sukena. Takkay ki Ayegi Baraat is written by Vasay Chaudry who had co written the previous serial as well. The character of Sila, previously played by Sarwat Gilani and Ayesha Omar in the first and second serials respectively, is played by Alishba Yousuf. This is the third time the character of Sila has been played by a different actress. And the character of Azar is now played by Ahsan Khan.

Uroosa Siddiqui is a Pakistani television actress and comedian. She is best known for her role as Sukhi in Baraat series and got her first leading role in 3rd season of Baraat series Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat. Her Other notable works include Shagufta Jahan in Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, Sana in Dramay Baziyan, and Zohra Jabeen in Hum Sab Ajeeb Se Hain and Warda Ahmed in Fun Khana for which she won Hum Award for Best Actor in Comic Role. Currently, she is playing a role of Bemisaal in Dolly Darling airing on Geo Entertainment.

Nadeem Baig is Pakistani film and television director, producer and writer from Karachi. Baig won the Lux Style Award For Best Director for Punjab Nahi Jaungi.

Kis Ki Aayegi Baraat or Baraat Series is a Pakistani comedy television series developed by Marina Khan and Nadeem Baig for Geo Entertainment. It is loosely based on the marriage ceremonies that take place in Punjabi families in Punjab, and stars Bushra Ansari as a comical woman named Saima Chaudhry along with Saba Hameed, Jawed Sheikh, and Shehryar Zaidi. The series received generally positive reviews from critics.
