Alison Goring (born November 15, 1963) is a Canadian curler.
Goring is a former Canadian champion skip, having won the 1990 Scott Tournament of Hearts. She was also a successful junior curler, having won the 1983 Canadian Junior Curling Championships.
Goring won her first provincial championship in 1990. Her Ontario rink would with that years' Scott Tournament of Hearts, defeating the Nova Scotia team, skipped by Heather Rankin. Her win gave her the right to represent Canada at the 1990 World Championships. At the 1990 Worlds, they lost to Norway's Dordi Nordby in the semi-final.
Her Hearts win in 1990 gave her team the right to represent team Canada at the 1991 Scott Tournament of Hearts. At that tournament, her team finished with 6 wins and 5 losses. She returned to the Hearts in 1995, finishing with a 7–4 record, just missing the playoffs. The 1997 Scott Tournament of Hearts was her last to date, losing to Sandra Schmirler's Saskatchewan rink in the final.
Goring's team participated in the 1997 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, but finished with a 3–6 record.
Goring still continues to competitively curl. Most recently she has qualified for the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts. At the 2007 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts Goring's team would finish round robin with a 7–2 record, however lost to Sherry Middaugh in the quarter final game. At the 2008 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Goring and her team would finish with a 6–3 record, and advance to the semifinal, where she once again would lose to Sherry Middaugh. At the 2009 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Goring would finish round robin play with a 5–4 record, winning two tiebreakers, the 3 vs. 4 game and the semifinal. Her team's winning streak would come to an end in the final, where she lost to Krista McCarville. Goring's team would not qualify for the provincials in 2010, however she would qualify out of the A side in Regionals advancing to the 2011 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Her team would not find success there, finishing round robin with a 2–7 record.
Jennifer Ann Hanna is a Canadian curler from Nepean, Ontario. She curls out of the Ottawa Curling Club. She was a finalist in both the 1998 Canadian Junior Curling Championship and the 2005 Scott Tournament of Hearts.
Jennifer Judith Jones OM is a Canadian curler. She was the Olympic champion in curling as skip of the Canadian team at the 2014 Sochi Games. Jones is the first female skip to go through the Games undefeated. The only male skip to achieve this was fellow Canadian Kevin Martin in 2010. Jones and her team were the first Manitoba-based curling team to win an Olympic gold medal. They won the 2008 World Women's Curling Championship and were the last Canadian women's team to do so until Rachel Homan in 2017. She won a second world championship in 2018. Jones also represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics, where her team placed fifth.
Sherry L. Middaugh is a Canadian curler from Victoria Harbour, Ontario. Before marrying world champion curler Wayne Middaugh, she was known as Sherry Scheirich. She is a five-time Ontario champion and a one-time Saskatchewan curling champion. She is currently the coach of Team Hollie Duncan.
Marie-France Larouche is a Canadian curler. She is currently the alternate on Team Laurie St-Georges. In 2022 she won the World Mixed Curling Championship playing third for skip Jean-Michel Ménard.
Krista Lee McCarville is a Canadian curler from Thunder Bay, Ontario. McCarville is a four-time Northern Ontario junior champion, the 2003 Winter Universiade silver medallist, a four-time Ontario provincial champion, a four-time Northern Ontario provincial champion, and a two-time Canadian national medallist.
Cathy Overton-Clapham nicknamed "Cathy O" is a Canadian curler. Overton-Clapham is one of Manitoba's most decorated female curlers, with one world championship, five national championships, and thirteen Scotties Tournament of Hearts appearances. In 2019, she began coaching in the United States, and currently coaches the Tabitha Peterson team.
Mary-Anne Arsenault is a Canadian curler from Lake Country, British Columbia. She is a five-time Canadian Champion, and two-time World Curling Champion. Arsenault has skipped her own team since 2007.
Amber Holland is a Canadian curler from Loreburn, Saskatchewan. Holland skipped Saskatchewan's team to a national women's championship in 2011 by defeating defending champion Jennifer Jones in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and won a silver medal at the 2011 Capital One World Women's Curling Championship. She also won a national championship at the junior level in 1992, and captured a silver medal at the World Junior Curling Championships in 1993 after losing in the final.
