The foreign relations of Ireland are substantially influenced by its membership of the European Union,although bilateral relations with the United States and United Kingdom are also important to the state. It is one of the group of smaller nations in the EU and has traditionally followed a non-aligned foreign policy. Ireland has historically tended towards independence in foreign military policy,thus it is not a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and has a longstanding policy of military neutrality. According to the Irish Defence Forces,the neutrality policy has helped them to be successful in their contributions to United Nations peace-keeping missions since 1960 and subsequently in Cyprus,Lebanon and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons,commonly known as the Non-Proliferation Treaty or NPT,is an international treaty whose objective is to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and weapons technology,to promote cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy,and to further the goal of achieving nuclear disarmament and general and complete disarmament. Between 1965 and 1968,the treaty was negotiated by the Eighteen Nation Committee on Disarmament,a United Nations-sponsored organization based in Geneva,Switzerland.
A letter of credence is a formal diplomatic letter that designates a diplomat as ambassador to another sovereign state. Commonly known as diplomatic credentials,the letter is addressed from one head of state to another,asking them to give credence to the ambassador's claim of speaking for their country. The letter is presented personally by the ambassador-designate to the receiving head of state in a formal ceremony,marking the beginning of the ambassadorship.

The President of the Review Conference is Ambassador Libran N. Cabactulan of the Philippines. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon used the opening of the conference to note that "sixty five years later,the world still lives under the nuclear shadow".
Yigal Palmor is the Head of the International Relations Unit and Foreign Policy Advisor to the Chairman at the Jewish Agency for Israel,where he had previously served for four years as Director of Public Affairs and Communications. He was the longest serving Spokesperson and Head of Press Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel from August 2008 to August 2014. Dimiter Tzantchev is a European diplomat,Ambassador,Head of EU Delegation to the State of Israel. He joined the European external action service after a long and distinguished career in the Bulgarian diplomatic service. He was Bulgaria's Ambassador to the EU,the UN in Geneva and to Israel. Tzantchev was President of COREPER II - January 1 - June 30,2018 during the first ever Bulgarian rotational presidency of the Council of the EU. One of the longest serving Permanent Representatives to EU in Brussels he was also the Dean of COREPER II from August 2017 until September 2021.
Israel–Myanmar relations refer to the bilateral relations between Israel and Myanmar. The two nations established diplomatic ties in 1953. Israel has an embassy in Yangon,and Myanmar has an embassy in Tel Aviv. The Jewish state has a longtime friendship with Myanmar,which was among the first countries in Asia to recognize Israel's independence and establish diplomatic ties with the young state. There is much cooperation between the two countries especially in the fields of agriculture and education. Myanmar Joins Singapore as a one of two Southeast Asian States that do not recognise the State of Palestine.
