The alkali metals are a group (column) in the periodic table consisting of the chemical elements lithium (Li), sodium (Na), potassium (K), rubidium (Rb), caesium (Cs), and francium (Fr). This group lies in the s-block of the periodic table of elements as all alkali metals have their outermost electron in an s-orbital: this shared electron configuration results in their having very similar characteristic properties. Indeed, the alkali metals provide the best example of group trends in properties in the periodic table, with elements exhibiting well-characterised homologous behaviour.
In chemistry, an alkali is a basic, ionic salt of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal chemical element. An alkali also can be defined as a base that dissolves in water. A solution of a soluble base has a pH greater than 7.0. The adjective alkaline is commonly, and alkalescent less often, used in English as a synonym for basic, especially for bases soluble in water. This broad use of the term is likely to have come about because alkalis were the first bases known to obey the Arrhenius definition of a base, and they are still among the most common bases.

The Cabinet of Niger is made up of the appointed heads of Niger's government Ministries. Ministers are chosen from the elected members of the National Assembly of Niger. According to the Constitution of 18 July 1999 the Prime Minister of Niger proposes the membership of the Council of Ministers, and the President of Niger appoints the Ministers, which is then authorized by the National Assembly. The Council of ministers meets at the discretion of the President, advises him on policy, and carries out the policies he orders. The Council of Ministers is headed by the Prime Minister of Niger, who is put forward by the National Assembly, and accepted by the President. The Assembly may remove the Prime minister by a vote of no confidence.
Parliamentary elections were held in Niger on 12 January 1995. The last elections of the Third Republic, they were called following a split in the ruling coalition, but resulted in a government divided between the party of the President and an opposition coalition with a majority in the National Assembly and the post of Prime Minister. The ensuing stalemate was a contributing factor to the coup that overthrew the regime on 27 January 1996.
Wadi al Hussein, sometimes referred to as 'Wadi Nasara, is a wadi east of and adjacent to the city of Hebron. The valley connects the Kiryat Arba settlement with the Israeli-controlled H2 area of Hebron's old city. The borders of the valley are Othman Bin Afan Street, also known as Zion Street or Worshipers' Way in the west; Wadi Al Nassara in the north; the Kiryat Arba fence in the east; Wadi Al Ghrous and the road connecting Kiryat Arba with Zion Street in the south.
The 1994 WAFU Club Championship was the 17th football club tournament season that took place for the runners-up or third place of each West African country's domestic league, the West African Club Championship. It was won again by Nigeria's Bendel Insurance after defeating Plateau United in two legs, it was the first final that feature both clubs from a single country. A total of about 46 goals were scored, slightly more but not as much as it was in 1991. No penalty shootout took place that season not even a club advanced under away goals rule. Originally a 22 match season, it was reduced to a 16 match as the Gambia's Real de Banjul FC and Niger's Alkali Nassara withdrew, in the quarterfinals, Liberia's Mighty Barolle withdrew. Neither clubs from Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania nor Ghana participated. From the quarterfinals, Bendel Insurance directly headed to the finals.
