"All That's Left Is Love" is a song by the American rock band, Angels & Airwaves. The song was released on April 16, 2020 as a non-album single, though it was included as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of Lifeforms (2021). The song was written by Tom DeLonge, Ilan Rubin, and Aaron Rubin.
"All That's Left Is Love" was written directly about the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and about being optimistic of the future during troubling times. In a public statement, DeLonge revealed the message of the song:
“Friends — as we are all stuck at home and watching these unfortunate world events unfold, we couldn’t help but notice little glimmers of light showing across the globe — revealing the positive side of humanity that sometimes gets lost in our day-to-day lives. That, ultimately, is what this band has been about since day one — HOPE. With all of that in mind, we decided to channel our feelings into a song." [1]
The band began to tease the song on their social media platforms before officially announcing its release to be April 16, 2020. It was premiered on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio station before being released digitally. Alongside the release, it was revealed that all proceeds from the song would be donated to the nonprofit organization Feeding America's COVID-19 relief fund. During an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, DeLonge discussed the decision to donate all of the song's profits to the charity:
“I’ve handed out food on holidays and for people in need. I’ve gone to schools and handed out food to a lot of these kids who only get their meals at school. And a lot of people think that the United States obviously is a more wealthy country than others, but there’s still so much poverty here. As you know, you live in Los Angeles, and so you can see that there’s a disparity between the classes. It was very simple for me to make one phone call and say, ‘Why don’t we do this? Because this is something that everybody needs right now. People can’t take care of their families. Kids are not in schools where they’re getting their only meal of the day.’ It kind of worked out, and that’s how you know it’s meant to be. I’m super proud to be with Feeding America on this.” [2]
The song was met with mostly positive feedback. Billboard's Gil Kaufman felt that the song's second verse "pretty well sums up what a lot of us are feeling these days" in reference to the social impact of the pandemic. [3] Josiah Hughes of Exclaim! called the song "another inspiring piece of uplifting alt pop. The song is four minutes long, but never overstays its welcome as it builds and expands." [4] Emily Tan of SPIN felt that the song "starts off slow, but then grows into a pretty empowering anthem." [5]
DeLonge released a teaser for a music video on his Instagram on June 23, 2020. In the post, he discussed how the original intention for the video was to represent hope of overcoming COVID-19, but felt that it should also represent the band's support of the Black community in the United States in response to the George Floyd protests.
"We made this video last month during an already unprecedented and uneasy time for our world. Since then, there have been more important issues in this country that naturally shifted our collective focus and voice in support of the Black community. That focus has not ended or slowed, our fight for equality and justice is just beginning - the time is NOW. As we continue to educate ourselves and put in the work each day, we decided we wanted to share this with you. “All That’s Left Is Love” represents an idea that we hold firm to during these times - at our core we are connected, through support and compassion we can get through this world united, and together we are LOVE." The video was released on June 25, 2020. [7] In the video, Delonge is seen singing and dancing to the song by himself in various different locations, as to represent the feelings of isolation that many have felt the pandemic has caused. The video also opens with a quote from DeLonge addressing both the pandemic and racial issues; “We never appreciate the connection we have with others until it’s gone,” he says. “And although we may not be able to change this first part of this story, we can for sure change the ending.” [8]

Thomas Matthew DeLonge is an American musician. Noted for his distinctive nasal singing voice, he rose to prominence as the co-founder, co-lead vocalist, and guitarist of the rock band Blink-182 from 1992 to 2005, 2009 to 2015, and then from 2022 onwards. He is also the lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Angels & Airwaves, which he formed in 2005 after his first departure from Blink-182.
Adam David "Atom" Willard is an American drummer who has been a member of several notable musical acts. His career began in 1990 when he joined Rocket from the Crypt, with whom he remained until 2000. Subsequently, he joined the Special Goodness, the Offspring, and in 2005 became a founding member of Angels & Airwaves. In 2007 Willard departed from the Offspring to focus on his work with Angels & Airwaves, and in April 2009 he also joined Social Distortion, but left the following March. In June 2011, he joined the band Danko Jones and in October 2011 amicably left Angels & Airwaves. From 2013 to 2020, he was the drummer for Against Me! until their indefinite hiatus. Currently he is playing in the bands Plosivs, Lektron, and Alkaline Trio.
We Don't Need to Whisper is the debut studio album by the American rock band Angels & Airwaves. Recorded at Neverpants Ranch in San Diego, California, and produced by guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge, the album was released on May 23, 2006, through Geffen Records. In February 2005, DeLonge, who wanted to spend more time with his family, quit Blink-182 after months of heated exchanges and increasing tension within the trio and spent three weeks in isolation, contemplating his life, career, and future in music.

In 2021 Ilan released music for the first time under his name. His debut single "Talk Talk Talk" was remixed by Phantogram.
I-Empire is the second studio album by alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves. It was officially released worldwide on November 1, 2007 from the Angels & Airwaves website, where it was available for download. It was then released on CD on November 5 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and on November 6 in the United States and Canada. It is their first album to feature Matt Wachter on bass.
Love is the third studio album by the alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves. It was released on February 12, 2010, on Fuel TV, and on February 14 on Modlife. The album was released free of charge due to "corporate underwriting". Box Car Racer was an American punk band formed in San Diego, California, in 2001. The group consists of guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge and drummer Travis Barker, both of Blink-182, and formerly alongside guitarist David Kennedy of Hazen Street. Anthony Celestino later joined the band on tour as a bassist. DeLonge created the project to pursue darker ideas he felt unsuited to his work with Blink-182.
Angels & Airwaves Presents Love Live was a one-night film screening and live-streamed concert that took place at 8:00pm ET on August 10, 2011, in 480 movie theatres across the United States and presented by the international rock multimedia project Angels & Airwaves.
Love: Part Two is the fourth studio album by alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves, released November 11, 2011, via the band's own label, To the Stars Records. It follows 2010's Love, and its release coincides with that of the band's Love feature film, which includes music from the album. The first single from the album and respective music video, "Anxiety", was released on August 11, 2011. "Surrender" impacted radio on January 31, 2012. It is the final album to feature Atom Willard as the band's drummer and Matt Wachter as the band's bassist. It is also the last album to feature guitarist David Kennedy until his return in 2018.
The Dream Walker is the fifth studio album by alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves, released on December 9, 2014, through To the Stars. The album marks major changes in the band's lineup and production, as it is their first album to feature drummer Ilan Rubin, the first since We Don't Need to Whisper to not feature bassist Matt Wachter and the only album not to feature guitarist David Kennedy. It is also their first without longtime producer, Jeff “Critter” Newell, who died in 2012. It is instead co-produced by DeLonge and Aaron Rubin.
To the Stars... Demos, Odds and Ends is the debut studio album by Tom DeLonge. It was released on April 21, 2015 through DeLonge's multimedia company also titled To the Stars. The album To the Stars is said to contain tracks from DeLonge's "personal stash", which include songs originally intended to be recorded with Blink-182, as well as tracks originally meant for Angels & Airwaves. The eight-song album was released on vinyl, CD and digital formats.
