Dipple is a village in the Parish of Speymouth, in Moray, Scotland, approximately 8 miles (13 km) east of Elgin and is located on the west bank of the River Spey. In medieval times Dipple was a parish in its own right and had a parish church dedicated to the Holy Ghost. This church is believed to have stood within the churchyard but no trace of it is now to be found there, although the graveyard may still be visited. A parson of Dipple is mentioned at the end of the twelfth century and, c.1208, the bishop of Moray used the parsonage revenues of Dipple, along with those of another parish (Rothven), to create a prebend within the cathedral at Elgin. The name Dipple is derived from the Gaelic word Diopal, meaning side of a hill.

David Allan was an Australian racing cyclist. He finished in second place in the Australian National Road Race Championships in 1979. He was the first and fastest in the Melbourne to Warrnambool Classic on three occasions, in 1976, 1979 and 1982. He won the Herald Sun Tour in 1980, and the Austral Wheel Race in 1976 off a handicap of 70 yards (64 m).

The Tour of Tasmania is a cycling road race contested annually in Tasmania, Australia. Created in 1996, the race formed part of the calendar of the Union Cycliste International from 1997 to 2002. The race was not contested the 2001, 2003 and 2004, it reappeared in 2005, but was not integrated with the UCI Oceania Tour. The 2019 edition of the race was won by Dylan Sunderland of Team BridgeLane. The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
