Alpine Mountain Ski & Ride Center is a former ski area in The Poconos of Pennsylvania located south-east of Scranton, Pennsylvania. It has 21 trails including 3 greens, 12 blues and 6 diamonds. It also has a terrain park located on the east side of the mountain at the bottom of the Swivel trail. The mountain was Voted On the Snow's 2013 Best Family Ski Area in the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast Region.
In 2013, the mountain was put up for sale in a closed bid auction. It was purchased by an undisclosed buyer and the ski resort opened for the 2013–14 season on December 20, 2013.
After two years of operation under new management, the mountain closed once again in 2015. It was sold in 2017 to a family local to the community who has not yet announced their plans on what will become of the operation.

The alpine ski area and a portion of the real estate in the village of Bear Valley was owned by an investment partnership led by a Canadian company, Dundee Realty, from 2005 to 2014, when Skyline International acquired Bear Valley.
Trail Ridge Road is the name for the 48-mile (77 km) stretch of U.S. Highway 34 that traverses Rocky Mountain National Park from Estes Park, Colorado in the east to Grand Lake, Colorado in the west. Together with the connecting 6.9-mile (11 km) Beaver Meadow Road, Trail Ridge Road forms the 55-mile (89 km) Trail Ridge Road/Beaver Meadow National Scenic Byway, an All-American Road. With a high point at 12,183 feet (3,713 m) elevation, Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in North America. The higher portion of Trail Ridge Road is closed from October to May.
The Dartmouth Skiway is a ski area in the northeastern United States, in Lyme, New Hampshire. Located about twenty minutes northeast of Dartmouth College, it has thirty trails from easiest to most difficult on over one hundred acres (40 ha) of skiable area.
Mountain Creek is a ski resort in Vernon Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, United States, located on New Jersey Route 94, 47 miles (76 km) from the George Washington Bridge.
Stoneham Mountain Resort is a ski resort, located north of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, in the municipality of Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury. It has a peak elevation of 593 metres above sea level and a vertical drop of 345 metres. There are 41 trails covering 333 hectares over four mountains. Nineteen trails are available for night skiing, consisting in the largest network of night skiing in Canada. The resort is owned by Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. In 2017, the Poma double ski lift and Doppelmayr T-Bar were removed. A new ski lift was built to replace them, a Doppelmayr 4-CLF fixed-grip lift with loading conveyor. This is 4,700 feet long with a ride time of 8.5 minutes. It has a maximum capacity of 1900 persons/hour.
Whiteface Mountain is the fifth-highest mountain in the U.S. state of New York, and one of the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. Set apart from most of the other High Peaks, the summit offers a 360-degree view of the Adirondacks and clear-day glimpses of Vermont and even Canada, where the skyscrapers of Montreal, 80 miles (130 km) away, can be seen on a very clear day. Located in the town of Wilmington, about 13 miles (21 km) from Lake Placid, the mountain's east slope is home to a major ski area with the greatest vertical drop east of the Rockies, which hosted the alpine skiing competitions of the 1980 Winter Olympics. Unique among the High Peaks, Whiteface features a developed summit and seasonal accessibility by motor vehicle. Whiteface Memorial Highway reaches a parking area at an elevation of 4,600 feet (1,400 m), with the remaining 267 feet (81 m) being obtained by tunnel and elevator.

There are 26 trails, two terrain parks, and one of Pennsylvania's longest snow tubing areas. The mountain has a summit elevation of 1,960 feet (600 m) and a vertical drop of 1,000 feet (300 m).
Beaver Mountain is a ski area in the western United States, in northern Utah. First opened 83 years ago in 1939, it is located near the summit of Logan Canyon in the Bear River Mountains, west of Bear Lake and near the border with Idaho. While smaller and less developed than a number of Utah ski resorts, Beaver Mountain is very popular with residents of nearby Logan, Utah State University, the surrounding Cache Valley, and the Bear Lake region, including southeastern Idaho.
Camelback Mountain or Big Pocono is a conspicuous geographic feature on the Pocono Plateau. It is not a mountain, but rather a peninsular section of the Pocono Plateau, that when viewed from three sides, appears to be a mountain. The summit of Big Pocono "Mountain" is actually nearly level with land to the west and northwest, together comprising the top of the Glaciated Pocono Plateau, which is part of the larger Allegheny Plateau.
Powder Ridge Ski Area is a ski area located in Middlefield, Connecticut. It began operations on January 22, 1961, closed in 2007, and reopened in 2013 as Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort. It is located on Besek Mountain. Powder Ridge Park is affiliated with the Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park in the Portland Brownstone Quarries in nearby Portland, Connecticut.

The Jack Frost Ski Resort which opened in 1972, is located in Kidder Township, Carbon County, near White Haven, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Pocono Mountains region. Jack Frost Ski Resort is affiliated with Big Boulder ski area about 5 miles away and customers can ski both mountains on the same lift ticket. Previously operated by Peak Resorts, it was purchased by Vail Resorts in 2019. It offers 20 trails and a terrain park for skiing and snowboarding.
Mount Raimer, 2,572 feet (784 m), is a prominent peak in the Taconic Mountains of western Massachusetts and adjacent New York. The west side and summit are located in New York; the east slopes lie within Massachusetts. The summit ridge is part meadow and part wooded with red spruce, balsam fir, and northern hardwood tree species. It is notable for its views of the Hoosic River valley and Hudson River Valley. The 35 mi (56 km) Taconic Crest Trail traverses the mountain. Much of the upper slopes and summit are within protected conservation land. The mountain is the location of a defunct ski area.
Elk Mountain Ski Resort is a ski area in the Endless Mountains on the summit of North Knob in Herrick Township, Susquehanna County, near Union Dale, Pennsylvania. It is located 30 miles north of Scranton. The mountain has been given favorable reviews from Ski Magazine, including a listing in "Six Unsung Heroes", a roundup of hidden gems in skiing.
Ski Big Bear is a skiing and snowboarding resort located in Lackawaxen Township, Pike County, Pennsylvania. While open to the public, it is an amenity of the Masthope Mountain Community and community property owners receive a season pass as part of their annual community dues. It is also fairly unusual as the main lodge, parking areas, and facilities are located at the top of the mountain. Skiers and riders descend to the lifts before riding back to the top. Ski Big Bear has a vertical drop of 650 feet.
Masthope Mountain Community is a census-designated place located in Lackawaxen Township, Pike County in the state of Pennsylvania. The community is located in far northeastern Pike County near the New York border. As of the 2010 census the population was 685.
